With the rapid development of China’s economy, urban domestic sewage and industrial wastewater treatment efficiency has improved, resulting in a significant increase sludge production. Thermal drying is essential for reducing, safely disposing of, resourcefully utilizing sludge. However, this process inevitably releases harmful pollutants, posing potential environmental risks that necessitate careful management. This work focused on thermal municipal at five temperature intervals (90–210 °C) examined impact calcium oxide properties. The results indicated higher temperatures increased rates, with optimal achieved 15% addition. Online detection NH3, H2S, CO, CH4 exhaust gas revealed pollutant generation was temperature-dependent. While addition had no effect CO emissions, it significantly inhibited H2S NH3. provided crucial insights into optimizing treatment, which improved mitigated release hazardous thereby reducing health associated disposal.

Activated carbon used to adsorb organic pollutants and heavy metals in wastewater is often prepare precursor materials avoid re-polluting the environment. Non-precious metal heteroatom co-doped electrocatalysts have emerged as promising alternatives Pt-based catalysts due their high catalytic activity remarkable stability. This has greatly developed ORR process field of energy storage, which restricted price catalysts. In this study, bamboo shavings were pre-activated synthesize materials, subsequently mixed with an oil phase simulate “waste-activated carbon”. The results demonstrate that modified waste-activated exhibits a specific surface area, well-developed porous structure, characteristic element doping, collectively contribute effective construction active sites. Furthermore, material displays electrocatalytic performance surpasses commercial Pt/C high-performance electrocatalyst was successfully synthesized through retreatment Building on achievement, study offers novel perspective contributes advancing research resource utilization sustainable treatment carbon.
