ABSTRACT Urban property crime, such as burglary and theft, remains a critical challenge in rapidly urbanizing cities like Kuala Lumpur Putrajaya. Despite extensive urbanization, research on the complex relationships among land use, demographic factors crime patterns limited. This study employs geographic information systems (GIS) linear regression analysis to examine how use configurations characteristics influence from 2015 2020. The results indicate that residential areas transport infrastructure are most significant predictors, explaining over 91% of variance, whereas variables, including male population household size, exhibit adjusted R 2 values exceeding 85%. findings underscore role spatial shaping urban dynamics. highlights need for targeted interventions, prevention through environmental design (CPTED), enhanced surveillance youth‐focused initiatives mitigate risks high‐crime areas. By integrating analyses, this offers comprehensive framework data‐driven strategies, with implications policymakers, planners law enforcement agencies.
