Currently, residual frying oil has three purposes: it is used again in the preparation of fried foods, mixed with new vegetable oil, which can cause cardiovascular disease consumer; collected by government institutions, without having an exclusive use; or thrown into drain, causing serious pollution problems to water resources. An alternative transform biodiesel, through transesterification methanol, be internal combustion engines, biodiesel-diesel mixtures 10:90, 15:85 and 20:80 (v/v), according international regulations such a way that, process, less CO2 greenhouse gas emissions are generated. Residual served as raw material, was collected, homogenized evaluate physicochemical properties before transformation. The biodiesel generated had density 0.886 g L−1, acidity 0.516%, viscosity 7.535 mm2 s−1, flash point 166.8 °C oxidative stability 49 days at 25 °C. Additionally, content functional groups characteristic formation evaluated Infrared Spectroscopy. Biodiesel obtained good quality for use engines agricultural machinery, thus validating its continuous production complying standard values regulations.
