Abstract This paper investigates intersample dynamics, a key aspect of sampled-data systems, as the controlled processes are usually physical systems. We present novel, boundary value problem-based method to reconstruct continuous-time response from output samples in case state feedback control. Numerical examples and experiments on DC motor drive show that proposed can reveal hidden vibrations overlooked by discrete-time models traditional interpolation techniques.
