As supply chains evolve toward the adoption of Industrial Internet Things (IIoT), vast amounts data are collected by different systems across manufacturing, logistics and transportation value chain. John G Russell (Transport) is a UK-based company involved in multiple lines business adopts utilization intelligence as way to collect, process utilize for insights, this presents an opportunity applying artificial (AI) approaches such reinforcement learning (RL), identify trends, offer recommendations improving sustainability efficiency its logistics. Preliminary results show that we can achieve up 20–30% reduction carbon emissions from fleet segment transport Group. This paper holistic framework achieving sustainable chains, reducing costs well operational using chain digital twin.
