Polyurethane (PU) is a very versatile material in engineering applications, whose mechanical properties can be tailored by the introduction of active fillers. The current research aims to (i) investigate effect fillers with varying filler loads on PU system and (ii) develop micro-mechanical model describe hyperelastic behavior (un)filled PU. Three models are taken into consideration: without strain amplification, constant deformation-dependent amplification. measured uniaxial stress–strain data filled nanocomposites reveal clear reinforcement due incorporation carbon black at 5, 10 20 wt%. In low concentration (1 wt%), for two different grades fumed silica, it results reduction properties. amplification has good agreement curves concentrations wt%). For higher (5–15 leads better prediction performance. samples larger volume fraction (20 wt%) commercial adhesive, best predictions, i.e., highest R2 regarding curve fitting.
