Abstract This opinion article questions the underlying causes of malformations observed in early developmental stages zebrafish exposed to a range chemicals. The research focuses on determining whether these abnormalities arise due inherent sensitivity chemical exposure or if they are related ubiquitous expression certain genes within genome. By analysing different studies embryos various agents and resulting malformations, study aims differentiate between effects role gene disruptions. Findings from this investigation will contribute deeper understanding mechanisms driving toxicity zebrafish, with implications for broader environmental genetic research.
