Natural resources including water, energy, and food have an increase in demand due to the global population increases. The sustainable management of these is urgent issue. These combined a very vital nexus are called water–energy–food (WEF) nexus. field nanotechnology offers promising solutions overcome several problems WEF This review first report that focuses on suggested applications nanofibers sectors. An economic value sectors was confirmed, which mainly successfully applied for producing clean safe food. Biotechnological include various activities industries. may production fresh water wastewater treatment, producing, converting, storing different sector. Furthermore, microbial biomedicine sector, most important biotechnological approaches, plant tissue culture, specific focus current study. Applying culture approach because can prevent any contamination under vitro conditions, but loss media by evaporation main challenge this application. challenges nanofiber application depend type their Different related almost all our life; however, enormous open questions still need be answered, especially green used solve accumulative those research integrated systems also umbrella environmental sustainability, climate change, concept one’s health.

Culture collections (CCs) play an important role in the ex situ conservation of biological material and maintaining species strains, which can be used for scientific practical purposes. The Komarov Botanical Institute Basidiomycetes Collection (LE-BIN) preserves a large number original dikaryon strains various taxonomical ecological groups fungi from different geographical regions. Started late 1950s investigation Basidiomycetes' activity, today, Russia, it has become unique specialized macromycetes collection, preserving 3680 776 fungi. Collection's development is aimed at fungal diversity, with emphasis on rare endangered species, ectomycorrhizal fungi, useful biotechnology medicine. main methods applied collection working cultures are described, results presented. Some problems isolation cultivation discussed. structure variety fund analyzed, they show that diversity LE-BIN commensurable largest CCs world. achievements screening collection's demonstrate prospective producers enzymes (oxidoreductases proteases), lipids, biologically active compounds (terpenoids, phthalides, etc.)

In the present study, a heteromannan primarily composed of mannose, fucose, xylose, glucose, and arabinose at molar ratio 4.78:1.18:1:0.82:0.11 containing low proportion glucuronic acid with weight-average molecular weights 3.6 × 106 Da, named NTP, was prepared from fruiting body Tremella fuciformis. The anti-skin-aging effects NTP on d-Galactose-induced aging mice biological mechanisms were investigated by an iTRAQ-based proteomics approach. substantially mitigated skin characterized decreased loss hydroxyproline hyaluronic reduced oxidative stress in skin. Moreover, 43 differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) identified response to which 23 up-regulated 20 down-regulated. Bioinformatics analysis revealed that these DEPs mainly involved functions cellular metabolic regulations, immune system responses, structural components. findings provided new insights into underlying actions T. fuciformis-derived polysaccharides facilitated applications naturally functional foods.
