Abstract The date palm is one of the plants whose growth being affected by global warming through harmful wavelengths UV radiation. protective role salicylic acid (SA) and ascorbic (AsA) at physiological (100 200 mg l –1 ) levels was assessed under UV-B (8 hrs day stress in development adaptation seedlings. Three months after treatment with different concentrations SA AsA, their effects on criteria, pigment content, oxidation markers, enzyme antioxidant activities were studied. Results revealed that both AsA increased seedling height, leaf width, dry weight, decreased level malondialdehyde hydrogen peroxide, membrane stability, thereby alleviating oxidant injury. Furthermore, enzymes such as peroxidase ascorbate have been upregulated, enhancing seedlings’ tolerance against stress. results suggest foliar application could be an efficient way to alleviate radiation damage young plants, therefore providing a possible approach improving crop resilience increasingly harsh environmental conditions.

Abstract Foods that support human health and longevity are becoming increasingly relevant as substitutes for or adjuncts to pharmacological drugs, either through direct consumption incorporation into designer foods fortified with health‐promoting ingredients. Date palm ( Phoenix dactylifera L.) fruits, seeds, pollen a cornerstone of diverse food medicine traditions. Their reported metabolic activities include anti‐inflammatory, antioxidant, antihypertensive, antihyperlipidemic, antidiabetic, antitumor, antianemia, hepatoprotective, antibacterial, antiviral effects. Beneficial effects on gut vascular health, well effectiveness in alleviating certain dysfunctions the reproductive system, have also been noted. The genomic diversity this versatile tree agroecological conditions which it grows lead appreciable variations occurrence protective nutrients other high‐value bioactive phytochemicals, including flavonoid non‐flavonoid phenolics, carotenoids, phytosterols, oxylipins, whose potential remains underutilized sector. As ingredients, date fruits their co‐products can improve sensory, nutritional, nutraceutical qualities broad range dietary items. high nutritional density assist design novel improved products meet demand healthier foods. This review summarizes current state evidence potentialities functional development, focusing extra‐nutritional compounds interest, biofunctional activities, factors influence abundance bioactivity. Proofs concept across beverage categories, new developments, clinical discussed, followed by recommendations addressing research gaps.

Abstract The demand for eco-friendly materials in automotive components has spurred research into natural fibers as sustainable alternatives brake pads. This study examines the potential of date palm fibers, particularly frond midrib (PFM), pad composites. effects epoxy, PFM, and calcium carbonate on composites’ mechanical tribological properties were analyzed. optimal formulation (25% 30% 35% carbonate) exhibited superior properties, including a hardness 87 HRB, wear rate 1.5E-03 mg/mm, COF 0.73, surpassing commercial Additionally, an inverse relationship between PFM/calcium content compressibility was observed, with increased enhancing resistance. underscores utilizing resources manufacturing, reducing environmental health impacts traditional materials.

This study explores biochar (BC) derived from date palm seeds as a high-performance adsorbent for the removal of trichloroethylene (TCE) and tetrachloroethylene (PCE) aqueous solutions, with comparative analysis against commercial activated carbon (AC). The optimized BC, characterized by high BET surface area 654.79 m2/g unique nanotube morphology, demonstrated superior adsorption capacities 86.68 mg/g TCE 85.97 PCE, significantly surpassing AC under identical conditions. Kinetic studies identified pseudo-second-order model best fit, indicating chemisorption dominant mechanism. Isotherm modeling revealed combination multilayer monolayer processes, underscoring complexity BC’s behavior. Statistical via two-way ANOVA further validated significant superiority over (p < 0.0001) both contaminants. These results highlight potential date-palm-seed-derived sustainable cost-effective eco-friendly water treatment, emphasizing its role in reducing environmental impact operational costs real-world applications.
