Abstract This study analyzed phthalates (PAEs) in Baijiu (Chinese liquor) from various cities Sichuan Province, China. The overall occurrence of PAEs was 8.66%, with five detected: Dibutyl phthalate (DBP, 75.69%), Diisobutyl (DIBP, 40.33%), Dimethyl Phthalate (DMP, 20.44%), Di (2-ethylhexyl) (DEHP, 11.05%), and Butyl benzyl (BBP, 8.29%). concentrations ranged non-detectable (ND) to 10.30 mg kg-1, DBP showing the highest mean P95 levels (0.44 1.57 kg-1). A risk assessment based on relative potency factors (RPFs) method indicated that not exceeded safe exposure thresholds for anti androgenic risks. Additionally, considering other foods, group-TDI adjusted proportionally at 1.08 μg kg-1 bw d-1. While average (0.315 d-1) (1.904 accounting 29.25% 176.63% group-TDI, respectively. In conclusion, these findings emphasize need stricter regulations continuous monitoring mitigate health risks associated Baijiu.

The potential migration of chemical compounds from plastic food packaging poses significant health risks, necessitating continuous monitoring and enhanced safety protocols. This study aimed to investigate the nine groups, including alanine, acetic acid, cyano derivatives, urea, amines, amides, benzene nitrites, non-specified compounds, across different categories. A total 195 packaged samples eleven categories were analyzed using Headspace Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) identify quantify migrants. Statistical analysis revealed differences in levels among (p < 0.05). Cheese, candies, chips exhibited highest concentrations alanine (65.95 ± 0.6384 mg/kg), acid (57.80 0.6383 derivatives (59.96 1.844 respectively, while frozen raw meat seafood showed lowest for most compounds. High nitrite certain raised particular concern due their carcinogenic toxicological effects. Regression confirmed that matrix type is a strong predictor several findings emphasize urgent need stricter regulation, improved analytical techniques, development safer materials reduce risks protect public health.

Thyroid hormones (THs) play a crucial role in various biological functions, including metabolism, cell growth, and nervous system development, any alteration involving the structure of thyroid gland TH secretion may result disease. Growing evidence suggests that phthalate plasticizers, which are commonly used wide range products (e.g., food packaging materials, children’s toys, cosmetics, medical devices), can impact function, primarily affecting serum levels THs TH-related gene expression. Like compounds, recently introduced alternative plasticizers leach from their source material into environment, particularly foods, although so far only very limited number studies have investigated toxicity. This review aimed at summarizing current knowledge on non-phthalate dysfunction disease, describing major mechanisms underlying this relationship. We will also focus industry as one main players for massive spread such compounds human body, turn conveyed by edible compounds. Given increasing worldwide use essential humans, novel strategies should be envisaged to reduce burden and, general, health.
