Abstract We investigate the long-term persistence of time series energetic neutral atom (ENA) fluxes recorded by Interstellar Boundary Explorer (IBEX). ENAs provide global information about outer heliosphere and its interactions with very local interstellar medium. To avoid IBEX Ribbon, here, we focus our analysis solely on polar regions N60°–N90° S60°–S90°. Each year, takes two measurements every pixel in sky. make use whole set 14 yr data adhere to correct order for construction flux series. examine detail both trend fluctuations these Using modern methods characterization, show that (i) is influenced solar cycle, (ii) can be established independently presence this trend, (iii) statistical properties differs between north south, pointing existence anisotropy thus a north–south asymmetry.
