Using plants to treat human diseases is very old and has evolved throughout history<i>. Flueggea virosa</i> <i>Newbouldia laevis</i> are two plant species acclimatized in Benin used Africa several such as malaria, liver diseases; fever, migraine, diarrhea, dysentery, intestinal worms, diabetes, sexually transmitted diseases, etc. In this work, we studied methanolic hydroethanolic leaf extracts from those species. Phytochemical screening was determined by the Hounton Raman methods, antimicrobial activity of evaluated microdilution method. The properties were examined on five bacteria strains. phytochemical analysis revealed presence alkaloids, polyphenols, tannins, flavonoids, anthocyanins, coumarins, mucilages, reducing compounds, bound anthracene derivatives (O-heterosides C-heterosides). Alkaloids are predominantly nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds that usually isolated from plants, and sometimes insects or animals. one of the most important types natural products due to their diverse biological activities potential applications in modern medicine.
