The potential of extracellular circulating microRNAs (miRNAs) as non-invasive biomarkers atrial fibrillation (AF) has been confirmed by a number recent studies. However, the current data for some miRNAs are controversial and inconsistent, probably due to pre-analytical methodological differences. In this work, we attempted fulfill basic requirements provided miRNA studies application paroxysmal (PAF) research. We used quantitative PCR (qPCR) determine relative plasma levels expressed in heart or associated with remodeling reported altered plasma/serum AF: miR-146a-5p, miR-150-5p, miR-19a-3p, miR-21-5p, miR-29b-3p, miR-320a-3p, miR-328-3p, miR-375-3p, miR-409-3p. First, cohort 90 adult outpatient clinic patients, found that level miR-320a-3p was elevated PAF patients compared healthy controls hypertensive without AF. further analyzed impact medication therapies on receiving angiotensin-converting-enzyme inhibitors (ACEI) therapy. Additionally, miR-146a-5p positively correlated CHA2DS2-Vasc score were subjects ≥ 2. Our results indicate that, amongst miRNAs, may be considered biomarker, leading speculation whether is marker platelet state change ACEI

As developed imaging modalities for plaque detection invasive, multiple biomarkers were proposed identify their presence. Owing pivotal role lipids and inflammation in pathophysiology atherosclerosis, originated from one those processes, whereas recent advancements molecular sciences shed light on use microRNAs. Due particularity heart tissue, patients who experience ischemic heart, still suffered irreversible damage even if vascular reflow by treatment, and severe ones can lead failure or death. In recent years, several studies have shown that microRNAs (miRNAs), playing a regulatory role in damaged hearts, bring light for alleviate MI. this review, we summarized effect miRNAs on MI with some mechanisms, such as apoptosis, autophagy, proliferation, inflammatory; regulation cardiac structural changes after MI, including angiogenesis, myocardial remodeling, fibrosis; application stem cell therapy clinical diagnosis; other non-coding RNAs related during past 5 years.

Published: March 12, 2025

Abstract Coronary artery disease (CAD) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, with platelet reactivity playing central role in its pathogenesis. Recent research has identified microRNAs (miRNAs; miRs) as potential biomarkers for CAD, due to their ability regulate function reactivity. This review focuses on four key miRNAs—miR-223, miR-126, miR-21, miR-150—known influence implications CAD. miR-223, which highly expressed platelets, shown associations CAD myocardial infarction, while miR-126 been linked thrombus formation vascular health. Additionally, miR-21 miR-150 have also emerged important players, roles cardiovascular outcomes. However, despite potential, the use miRNAs clinical faces several challenges, including variability reported results across studies. These inconsistencies often arise from differences sample material, preanalytical conditions, normalization strategies. Furthermore, antiplatelet therapy miRNA expression adds another layer complexity, making it difficult determine whether observed changes levels are states or therapeutic interventions. therefore highlights need standardization enhance reliability findings. By addressing these methodological could become powerful tools personalized medicine, aiding development tailored strategies patients ultimately improving

Abstract Coronary artery disease (CAD) imposes a significant economic burden in developing countries like India. Timely diagnosis and treatment should be prioritized to mitigate the disease. Current diagnostic tools being invasive less specific raise need develop more reliable molecular biomarkers. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are an emerging class of molecules that can serve as potential source non-invasive biomarkers for CAD. The objective this study was determine circulatory miRNAs In study, we have reported two microRNAs, miR-128-3p miR-195-5p serum CAD patients Indian Population. A total 124 subjects were recruited which included 89 angiographically proven 35 control subjects. Our results show decrease levels while there no changes miR-195-5p. Further bioinformatics analysis revealed role cholesterol homeostasis.
