Abstract Background Very few studies compared the rates of child psychiatry diagnoses between initial phase pandemic and pre-pandemic records in clinical samples. This study from Istanbul aimed to compare adolescent psychiatric admissions diagnosis first three months pandemic, previous same year year. Introducción: La pandemia de COVID-19 ha planteado desafíos adaptación para los niños con el trastorno del espectro autista (TEA) debido a la interrupción rutinas y servicios salud educativos. Objetivo: revisión alcance tiene como objetivo examinar e integrar literatura sobre indicadores mental TEA durante COVID-19, centrándose en aspectos emocionales, sociales, conductuales cognitivos. Métodos: Se realizó una búsqueda sistemática estudios PubMed, Google Scholar, PsycINFO, ScienceDirect Cochrane Central entre enero febrero 2024. Resultados: identificaron 25 que exploraban diversos pandemia. Solo tres estos desarrollaron metodología permitía evaluar cambios pre post mediante creación cohortes preestablecidas seguimiento antes brote. Aunque algunos indicaron estabilidad o mejoras mental, se varios factores podrían empeorar síntomas estrés cuidadores, bajo ingreso económico terapias presenciales. Conclusión: Los resultados revisados no son concluyentes limitaciones metodológicas diseños investigación. hallazgos sugieren necesidad desarrollar enfoques metodológicos más sólidos consistentes impacto eventos estresantes TEA, énfasis largo plazo permitan comprensión completa efectos lo tiempo.

Objective This study explores the health information needs of individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their caregivers in post-COVID-19 era by analyzing discussions from Reddit, a popular social media platform. Methods Utilizing mixed-method approach that integrates qualitative content analysis quantitative sentiment analysis, we analyzed user-generated “r/autism” subreddit to identify recurring themes sentiments. Results The uncovered key themes, including symptoms, diagnostic challenges, caregiver experiences, treatment options, stigma, reflecting diverse concerns within ASD community. revealed predominance positive across discussions, although significant instances neutral negative sentiments were also present, indicating varied experiences perspectives among community members. Among machine learning models used for classification, Bi-directional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM) model achieved highest performance, demonstrating validation accuracy 95.74%. Conclusions findings highlight need improved digital platforms resources address specific community, particularly enhancing access reliable fostering supportive environments. These insights can guide future interventions policies aimed at improving well-being autistic persons caregivers.

We performed a systematic review to investigate whether impact was universal or restricted specific groups. Following PRISMA guidelines, 2500 search results, 66 studies were included in our analysis as they met inclusion criteria concerning: a) SEND; b) focus on COVID-19; c) longitudinal cross-sectional design; d) quantitative qualitative measures; e) wellbeing outcomes.
