Background
Nutritional
supplements
(NS)
can
help
patients
by
providing
various
nutrients
such
as
essential
vitamins
and
minerals,
helping
to
prevent
recover
from
diseases.
This
study
provides
a
broad
overview
of
the
field
NS
for
sick
people
through
bibliometrics
visualization
analysis,
analyze
status
development
dynamics,
explore
popular
research
questions
directions,
reveal
trends
frontiers.
Methods
We
searched
Web
Science
Core
Collection
databases
literature
related
diseased
populations
2000
2024.
A
total
1,550
articles
were
included
in
analysis
after
screening.
Analyses
performed
using
CiteSpace
VOSviewer
software.
Results
The
population
has
witnessed
an
overall
rapid
growth
number
publications,
which
is
divided
into
three
phases:
2000–2008
was
exploratory
phase,
2009–2017
sustained
2018
date
phase.
Research
focuses
on
dietary
supplementation,
oxidative
stress,
vitro
injections,
development,
antioxidant
activity,
double-blind
trials,
lipid
supplements,
functional
foods,
health
populations,
risks
NS.
Conclusion
Different
each
possess
unique
benefits
should
be
chosen
according
type
disease
ensure
they
contain
corresponding
nutrients.
Vitamin
are
widely
mentioned
among
patient
across
globe.
Future
may
focus
applying
nutritional
gut
microbiota
bioactive
compounds.
Researchers
frequently
mention
application
women,
infants,
children.
It
continue
monitored
optimized
future
enhance
its
therapeutic
effects,
thereby
accelerating
patients’
recovery
improving
their
quality
life.
