Apostasia fujianica belongs to the genus and is part of basal lineage in phylogenetic tree Orchidaceae. Currently, there are only ten reported complete mitochondrial genomes orchids, which greatly hinders understanding evolution Therefore, we assembled annotated genome A. fujianica, has a length 573,612 bp GC content 44.5%. We total 44 genes, including 30 protein-coding 12 tRNA two rRNA genes. also performed relative synonymous codon usage (RSCU) analysis, repeat sequence intergenomic transfer (IGT) Ka/Ks analysis for conducted RNA editing site on eight orchid species. found that most genes under purifying selection, but nad6 positive with value 1.35. During IGT event fujianica's mitogenome, trnN-GUU, trnD-GUC, trnW-CCA, trnP-UGG, psaJ were identified as having transferred from plastid mitochondrion. Compared other monocots, family Orchidaceae appears have lost rpl10, rpl14, sdh3, sdh4 Additionally, further elucidate evolutionary relationships among constructed based mitogenomes monocots. Our study results provide valuable data mitogenome lay groundwork future research genetic variation, relationships, breeding
