The prediction of the ecohydraulic and ecohydrological structures vegetated flows is extremely important; particularly because well-known Climate Change Global Warming implications. This study aims at monitoring real-scale Ecohydrodynamics ditches hardly covered by riparian stands, through analysis their reflectance signature. A system composed a cruising drone thermographic camera was employed in present experimental study. Once main average turbulence traits were measured directly field, correlation between plant's Leaf Area Index (LAI) thermal properties studied to assess impact drone-based thermometry methods techniques on predictions flow trends waterways.

The growth process of soybean plants needs a lot water. rapid detection canopy wilting under drought stress is great significance for variety breeding, cultivation regulation and fine management. Aiming at the problems cumbersome time-consuming when traditional chemical technology was used to determine index, calculation method index proposed in this study based on multispectral images’ Fourier transform. Suinong 26, northeast variety, taken as object. First, four kinds images green, red, red-edge near-infrared channels were acquired by Sequoia camera. Second, reflection image preprocessed median filter mean filter, target area extracted iterative threshold affine transformation algorithm, effective segmentation rate 97.02%. In addition, transform analyze spectrum characteristics canopy’s image. When radius each channel 50, energy reached more than 98% concentrated low-frequency region center. Finally, according difference between DC component proportion total spectral normal treatment, model constructed results showed that treatment (green, near-infrared, red red-edge) 2.38, 3.11, 3.56 4.11, respectively. effectiveness verified analyzed using average leaf inclination angle. determination coefficient R2 calculated angle 0.85. This can provide quantitative basis technical support scientific ecological morphological phenotypic traits stress.

The vegetation development in riverbeds creates obstructions to the regular water flow with flooding hydraulic risk increase. Giant reed (GR) (Arundo donax L.) is one of most successful invasive species riparian ecosystems Mediterranean semi-arid climate conditions, significant public administrations costs for its removal and disposal. At meantime, due high biomass yield adaption capacity several GR a very promising no-food crop produce biogas by anaerobic digestion (AD). research activity provides involvement territories belonging inner areas Sicily, especially Calatino one, which SIMBIOSI Consortium operates an AD plant fed agricultural by-products from other close agro-industrial companies. aim study was map quantify actual spatial distribution watercourses embankments through Remote Sensing (RS) techniques applied Geographic Information System (GIS) environment. In this regard, method based on automatic supervised classification, three different combinations spectral bands (True Color Image – TCI; Near-Infrared, Green Blue NGB; Vegetation Red Edge VRE) Sentinel-2 satellite images related summer season (11th August 2019), identifying suitable classification GR. results showed that VRE composition accurate combination identification GR, followed NGB image. worst performance obtained using TCI combination. A further elaboration carried out combining classified images, order obtain more localization quantification final thematic allowed correctly classify 46 % cases, overall accuracy 85.02 Kappa Coefficient Agreement value equal 0.81. Finally, surface covered area (computed GIS environment) about 2 km2 estimated biomass, available biomethane production, obtainable maintenance interventions would amount 11,780 tons year−1. could contribute plan reduce streams valley at intersections infrastructure works. Furthermore, proposed methodology can be used stakeholders marginal areas, management, offsetting energy use collected biomass.
