Purpose The purpose of the study was to investigate mediating effect psychological health status on women's decision disclose their exposure partner violence. Methods: Data for this cross-sectional collected from women working in a higher educational institution. about violence, health, and violence experience were collected. Path analysis used meet aim. This study aimed assess prevalence terms controlling behavior, sexual, violence, its association with Chengalpattu district, India. Methods It community-based cross-sectional conducted 12 villages under field practicing area rural training center Chettinad Health Research Institute Kelambakkam, India, simple random sampling among 190 participants ever married partnered age ≥18 years. A pre-tested, semi-structured questionnaire was used which included WHO Violence Against Women Instrument (VAWI) English language Patient Questionnaire 9 (PHQ 9). The collected data entered Microsoft Office Excel (Microsoft Corporation, Redmond, United States) analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics for Windows, Version 21 (Released 2012; Corp., Armonk, New York, States). probability value (p-value) less than 0.05 considered statistically significant. Results mean (SD) 34 (±8) Among participants, 57.4% reported 31.1% 7.4% past months. About 34.7% were mild 21.6% moderate depression. Exploring Enhancements to Intimate Partner Violence Risk Assessment: Leveraging Insights from Decision Tree Analyses DOI Open Access

Intimate partner violence (IPV) represents the largest proportion of in most women's lives, and it affects millions individuals families across Canada around world. Research indicates that current IPV risk assessments do not meaningfully outperform general-violence assessments. The purpose study was to improve assessments, specifically, better understand whether specialists generalists are different and, additionally, determine extent which IPV-salient factors should be considered, or differently weighted, predicting recidivism. sample (N = 911) included men who were referred outpatient treatment recruited from an employment agency between 1976 1994. Using recidivism data obtained 1999 for a subset 343 cases, more than 700 simple composite potential predictor variables examined. Approximately 53% identified as specialists, 31% recidivated. classification regression tree (CART) analyses, 22 differentiating generalists, 13 found differentiate recidivists non-recidivists training samples, respectively. A random forest procedure used reduce pool variables, resulting trees with overall accuracy 72.1% specialization model 62.0% model. models generalized some success testing samples. Theory suggests that intolerance of uncertainty (IU), a tendency to perceive uncertain events as threatening, may serve potential risk factor for increased intimate partner violence (IPV) perpetration; however, few studies have investigated this association, and none taken longitudinal approach. We the issue in two online investigations (initial N = 282 1,118), with time periods ranging from just before COVID-19 pandemic fourth wave, approximately 1.5 years later. IU was significant predictor IPV cross-sectionally, short term longitudinally (i.e., over weeks); it did not predict longer months or years). In addition, our design allowed assessment trends across waves. Physical rates remained low steady time. Psychological showed an increase early days pandemic, but then dropped stabilized, albeit at somewhat higher rate than pre-pandemic. Abstract Objective This study aimed to evaluate psychological and emotional violence in relation with sociodemographic characteristics anxiety depression symptoms during the COVID-19 pandemic a sample of Portuguese residents. Methods A cross-sectional online using snowball sampling collected data on demographics, socioeconomic factors, mental health (anxiety symptoms) couple violence. The spanned three months included 519 individuals aged 18 or above relationship since January 2020 earlier. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics, t-tests, chi-squared tests, logistic regression models (Odds-Ratio [OR] 95% Confident Interval [CI]), cluster (K-medoids) R software (significance threshold 0.05). Results was predominantly composed women (78.8%) an average age 36.8 years 79% holding higher education degrees. Two clusters emerged: Cluster 1 (n = 420) presented fewer victims, while 2 99) more. Older (OR 1.026, 95%CI 1.000–1.052) 1.163, 1.080–1.252) increased likelihood abuse. Men also had 2.87 times odds being victims (95%CI 0.203–0.599).
