As life becomes more stressful, neurological disorders, psychiatric and comorbidities of the two are becoming a concern. Multiple neuropsychiatric disorders share same mental somatic dysfunction may involve common brain circuits mechanistic targets. Music therapy, as an art form with proven efficacy, low cost few side effects, is promoted for use in interventions disorders. Objective This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the potential multidomain benefits of mind-body therapies (MBTs) for behavioral psychological symptoms dementia (BPSD) in older people with (OPWD). Methods Relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were identified using electronic databases manual searches. Two independent researchers evaluated risk bias included Revised Cochrane Risk-of-Bias tool trials. A standardized mean difference (SMD) a 95% confidence interval (CI) was used combine effect sizes. Results 35 RCTs comprising 4,043 patients, whom 24 meta-analyses. MBTs effectively improved BPSD (SMD = -0.33; CI -0.49 -0.16; p < 0.01), anxiety -0.82; -1.53 -0.10; 0.02), depression -0.57; -1.06 -0.08; no significant improvements observed agitation -0.09; -0.25 0.07; 0.27) among patients dementia. The certainty evidence across outcomes ranged from low very low, based on Grading Recommendations, Assessment, Development, Evaluations ratings. Conclusion Effective nursing is vital, as they are undergoing major transition their physical mental health. In clinical practice, healthcare social care therapists should develop personalized intervention programs patient individual differences actual dose-response relationship, which will help maximize non-pharmacological treatments context limited medical resources. More high-quality could be conducted compare differential efficacy various aspects OPWD provide better base guide policy guidance. Systematic registration PROSPERO, identifier CRD42024559809.

Immune stress induced by harsh environment in intensive farming can impair broiler intestinal health. Although music as an environmental intervention alleviate short-term injury, its long-term regulatory mechanism on inflammation has not been clarified. In this study, we investigated the effects of a music-enriched growth performance, barrier function, and inflammatory responses lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced immunostressed broilers. AA broilers were randomly divided into four groups: control group (CON), (MUC), LPS-induced immune (LPS) + LPS (MUC+LPS). On 14th, 16th 18th days, MUC+LPS groups injected intraperitoneally with 500 μg to construct model, CON MUC equal amount saline. day 28, birds sacrificed detect indicators associated inflammation. Background Although the effectiveness of (es)ketamine for therapy-resistant depression (TRD) has been established, potential treatment-limiting factors include side effects like dissociation, anxiety, or elevated blood pressure. Music can reduce stress and negative emotions as anxiety. This study aimed to investigate impact listening music during intranasal administration on both tolerability efficacy. Methods Records 494 sessions (of 37 patients) with administration, each containing data pressure measurements, DSS-IV (dissociation symptoms scale-IV), anxiety euphoria analogue scale, MADRS (Montgomery–Åsberg Depression Rating Scale) BDI (Beck’s Inventory) were evaluated. Results The between-group analysis, comparing participants who listened those did not, revealed significant differences in administered dose ( p -value: 0.003, mean: 131.5 mg vs. 116.7 without music), scores DSS Item 1 0.005, 3 points 2.4 points), levels <0.001, 0.4 1.4 measurements maximal systolic after 0.017, 137.9 mmHg 140.3 mmHg). Listening had no MARDS-change score between sessions. Limitations Key limitations a non-randomized naturalistic design non-standardized selection music, which was based individual patient preferences. Conclusion therapy appears be linked reduced lower pressure, stable increased dissociation levels, improved tolerance higher doses. These findings could potentially contribute optimization therapy, terms treatment efficacy managing effects.

Resilience mechanisms can be dynamically triggered throughout the lifecourse by resilience factors in order to prevent individuals from developing stress-related pathologies such as posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Some interventional studies have suggested that listening music and musical practice after experiencing a traumatic event decrease intensity of PTSD, but surprisingly, no study our knowledge has explored experience potential factor before occurrence event. In present conceptual analysis, we sought summarize what is known about concept how could trigger two key altered PTSD: emotion regulation cognitive control. Our hypothesis stimulation these during pre-traumatic period help protect against symptoms emotional dysregulation intrusions PTSD. We then developed new framework guide future research aimed at isolating investigating protective role regarding development PTSD response trauma. Post-intensive care syndrome (PICS) is the term used to describe decline in physical, cognitive, and/or mental condition of individuals who have been discharged from intensive unit (ICU). This complication could result a significant reduction quality life, with some patients experiencing symptoms prolonged weakness, depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Intensive advancement over years has resulted an increase ICU survival rates proportional PICS, creating need for more in-depth research into prevention management disease. Hence, this study aims examine present body literature on encompassing its underlying physiological processes elements that contribute development, methods evaluating diagnosing condition, current treatment choices as well potential new approaches, constraints managing PICS necessity further investigation. In article, studies were compiled several databases, including, but not limited to, Google Scholar, PubMed, Cochrane Library. These reviewed, their data highlight important aspects regarding efficacy screening tools, optimization limitations both pharmacologic non-pharmacologic methods, feasibility safety emerging treatments technologies. The major conclusions review centered around multidisciplinary PICS. From pharmacological using analgesia non-pharmacological early mobilization exercise therapy, effective requires multifaceted approach. Patient follow-up importance touched upon, including strategies policies bolster proper follow-up, thereby increasing favorable outcomes. Lastly, family involvement increased topic highlighted.
