Abstract Background Although cancer is a global concern, China has the highest incidence and mortality rates for malignant tumors. Background Malnutrition is a frequent problem in oncology and associated with reduced response to cancer treatments, increased drug-related toxicity, higher rates of clinical complications, quality life (QoL) worse prognosis. Guidelines on nutrition emphasise the usefulness early assessment nutritional status for prompt identification malnutrition implementation effective interventions, but no real-world data are available adequate management support patients Italy.
