Mountainous ethnic tourism lands are important social-ecological system types. With as the main disturbance factor, theory of resilience provides a new way to realize sustainable development ethno-tourism in mountainous areas. This study divides into social, economic, and ecological subsystems. It constructs an evaluation index assess destinations areas, considering vulnerability adaptability. We investigate 64 counties Wuling Mountain area use set-pair analysis from 2000 2020 reveal temporal spatial characteristics. Obstacle degree models genetic algorithm-back propagation neural network utilized determine influencing factors predict future trends. The following results were obtained: (1) Temporally, shows steady upward trend, reaching moderate level. social subsystem fluctuates rises; economic exhibits slow, fast, slow growth rates with occasional abrupt changes; demonstrates stable, slightly increasing trend. (2) Spatially, is high at edges low central area, exhibiting concave distribution. Most have or higher resilience. subsystems south north. area. (3) On distribution major obstacle factors, first two similar county level, last three significantly different. similarity barrier related regional proximity county, overall, decreasing north west east pattern within certain extent, it affected by terrain geomorphology. (4) 2025 2030. decreases then increases annually, lower rate than Lower values occur northern southwestern parts, whereas observed around high-value region whole will develop coordinated integrated manner future.
