Eligibility criteria We included all qualitative quantitative studies, conference papers or abstracts, anonymous reports, editorial reports viewpoints published English. extraction synthesis The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses Extension Scoping checklist used to select study. analysis performed using Gale’s framework thematic method, resulting identification key themes. Results total 64 articles that examined technology COVID-19 pandemics were final Five main themes emerged: epidemiological surveillance (using data visualisation tools online early disease detection), rapid case identification, community transmission prevention (via contact tracing assessing interventions with mobility data), public education messages clinical care. identified barriers encompassed legal, ethical privacy concerns, as well organisational workforce challenges. Conclusion Digital have proven good during pandemics. While adoption these has lagged health compared other sectors, such artificial intelligence, telehealth, wearable devices analytics offer significant potential enhance responses. However, widespread implementation remain, investments infrastructure, training strong protection are needed build trust among users. Future efforts should focus integrating solutions into systems, ensuring equitable access addressing concerns. As increasingly embraces innovations, collaboration stakeholders will be crucial effective pandemic preparedness management.

Background Digital public health (DiPH) interventions may help us tackle substantial challenges and reach historically underserved populations, in addition to presenting valuable opportunities improve complement existing services. However, DiPH are often triggered through technological advancements rather than needs. To develop evaluate designed serve needs, a comprehensive framework is needed that systematically covers all aspects with relevance for health. This includes considering the complexity of technology, context which technology supposed operate, its implementation, effects on health, including ethical, legal, social aspects. Objective We aimed such list core principles be considered throughout development evaluation process any intervention. Methods The resulting digital (DigiPHrame) was based scoping review frameworks.
