Abstract With the rapid growth of digital technology, understanding its impact on ecological civilization construction (ECC) is essential. This study measures level technology and ECC in 31 provinces China, from 2011 to 2022. Using a two-way fixed effect model, threshold spatial spillover this explores ECC. The main research conclusions include: (1) Digital can significantly promote After robustness endogeneity tests, conclusion still holds. (2) Regional heterogeneity exists promotion ECC, manifested as western > central eastern. (3) non-linear. When exceeds certain threshold, will be weakened. (4) not only promotes studied locality but also has positive adjacent geographical regions. Based above conclusions, identifies some policy implications.

The digital economy is an important driving force for promoting national economic growth and achieving high-quality transformation, a key in the sustainable development goals (SDGs). This paper measures level of 30 provinces China from 2013 to 2021 utilizing entropy weighting approach, order further reveal its intrinsic laws differences, it uses three-dimensional kernel density analysis, Dagum Gini coefficient, spatial autocorrelation cold hot spot analysis explore temporal evolution characteristics regional imbalance. empirical results show that ① China’s has been steadily increasing, spatially showing gradual decrease east west coast inland, with obvious agglomeration increasing trend. ② There are imbalances economy, southeast coastal region leading significantly. ③ overall differences large but reduced, mainly intra-regional inter-regional contribution low. research this provides data support revealing new path balanced economy.
