Benzophenones (BPs) are substances used in the production of sunscreens, cosmetics, and personal care products. However, there is a lack knowledge BPs wild animals. Therefore, study aimed to assess concentration selected commonly cosmetic industry guano samples collected from 4 colonies greater mouse-eared bats ( Myotis myotis ). Liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) was determine concentrations benzophenone 1 (BP-1), 2 (BP-2), 3 (BP-3) 8 (BP-8). BP-1 levels above method quantification limit (MQL) were noted 97.5% fluctuated <0.1 ng/g 259 (mean 41.50 ng/g, median 34.8). The second most common BP-3, which 19 6.67 5.05), its higher than MQL observed 40% samples. BP-2 BP-8 did not exceed detection (0.04 ng/g) any analyzed sample. There visible differences BP-3 among studied bat colonies. Mean 11.23±13.13 76.71±65.51 differed significantly between 5.03±6.03 9.18±7.65 mg/g, but it differ results show that suitable matrix for assessment wildlife exposure BPs. This could be particularly advantageous protected species, where disturbing stressing animals crucial.

Parabens are compounds widely utilized in the industry as preservative additives to personal care products, cosmetics and food. They pollute environment penetrate living organisms through digestive tract, respiratory system skin. Till now knowledge about exposure of terrestrial wild mammals parabens is extremely scarce. Therefore, this study for first time assessed concentration levels five commonly used (methylparaben—MeP, ethylparaben—EtP propylparaben–PrP, benzylparaben -BeP butylparaben–BuP). Substances have been analyzed hair samples collected from boars using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) method. The a matrix, which allows long-term parabens. During MeP was noted 96.3% with mean 88.3±72.9 pg/mg, PrP 87.0% 8.5±3.3 BeP 44.4% 17.2±12.3 pg/mg EtP 11.1% 17.2±4.8 pg/mg. In turn BuP only 3.7% below limit quantification (2.6 pg/mg). Statistically significant intragender differences not noted. Only depended on industrialization density human population area, where animals lived. This indicates that exposed parabens, especially PrP, analysis seems be useful tool biomonitoring mammals.
