Objective:
This
study
aimed
to
examine
the
association
between
sleep
duration
on
weekdays
and
weekends
depression
among
Korean
adults.
Design:
Cross-sectional
study.
Setting:
South
Korea,
utilizing
data
from
2016
2018
Korea
National
Health
Nutrition
Examination
Survey
(KNHANES).
Participants:
A
total
of
7669
adults
aged
19−64
years.
Measures:
Depression
was
assessed
using
Patient
Questionnaire-9
(PHQ-9).
Sleep
classified
separately
for
categorized
into
three
groups:
<7,
7–9,
≥9
h.
Multiple
logistic
regression
analysis
performed,
adjusting
socioeconomic,
lifestyle,
health-related
variables.
Results:
Among
participants,
3.6%
were
identified
as
having
depression.
On
weekdays,
40.5%
respondents
reported
an
average
less
than
7
h
per
day,
whereas
only
20.3%
did
so
weekends.
Compared
those
who
averaged
9
individuals
with
short
(<7
h)
had
significantly
higher
odds
(OR:
1.65;
95%
CI:
1.16–2.35),
1.62;
1.10–2.38).
Notably,
participants

Abstract
Disturbed
sleep
comes
in
many
forms.
While
the
key
role
of
mental
health
is
undisputed,
our
understanding

problems

stages
psychiatric
disorders

features

traits

disorders,

ADHD

autism
disorder,
eating
impulsivity
showed
milder
issues.
Mania
was
only
trait
associated
with
an
overall
better
profile.
Across
traits,
insomnia
fatigue
dominated
variability
