Introduction Rheumatic diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and psoriatic arthritis, significantly affect quality of life require comprehensive management, especially where rheumatologists are scarce. Family physicians in rural settings play a crucial role providing this care. This study aims to elucidate the educational process for family managing RA within hospitals. Methods Using qualitative autoethnographic approach, we explored learning experiences at Unnan City Hospital Japan. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, direct observation, reflective field notes, informal conversations with participants. BACKGROUND: Effective management of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) relies on patients acquiring a specific set skills. Patient education is promising approach to achieve this. Despite extensive research in this area, complete understanding the necessary skills for persons living with RA remains elusive. This study aims identify essential required individuals RA, develop hierarchical framework, and provide insights targeted therapeutic programs. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A qualitative using constructivist grounded theory was employed. Semi-structured interviews were conducted (23) medical professionals specializing (16) patients. The data analyzed Atlas.ti software. RESULTS: Six major themes emerged: self-care coping, emotional psychological resilience, knowledge literacy personal development, communication relationship building, self-learning problem-solving. These suggest structure, serving as foundation progressing more complex such problem-solving communication. CONCLUSION: provides an overview multifaceted nature optimal management. proposed structure offers robust framework developing findings highlight significance patient-centered effective RA.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an immune-mediated chronic and long-term condition that can lead to severe joint damage disability. It has been shown doctor–patient interaction communication have a significant impact on faster patient diagnosis treatment outcomes. Primary care (PC) the first level of contact with doctors health system. Communication between them often ineffective, leading delays in diagnosis, care, use disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs). The protocols standards for RA are well established by all rheumatology organizations. All recommend early initiation DMARDs, which leads better There some recommendations would optimization recognition, management, referral practices. Early effective general practitioners specialists, education about possible targeted therapies biological products, as subsequent monitoring screening risk factors comorbidities, will improve optimize costs. We aimed offer strategies possibilities integrating optimizing primary specialized because proper management reduce severity disease even mortality from diseases such RA.

Abstract Introduction Early interventions are known to reduce disease activity and physical disability in rheumatoid arthritis (RA), but less is about mental health, especially the era of early active pharmacotherapy. Consequently, we compared long-term an RA cohort (1996–1998) with a later (2006–2008). Methods We 320 patients from our project Intervention (TIRA-1) 463 TIRA-2 During 8-year follow-up, pharmacotherapy multi-professional were offered according guidelines. Disease Activity Score (DAS28), prescribed disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs), Health Assessment Questionnaire (HAQ), Short Form Survey (SF-36) registered yearly. Results Significantly more DMARDs than TIRA-1, initial improvements seen for DAS28 both cohorts. At reported (HAQ) TIRA-1 patients. Despite improvements, 32% women 21% men considerable (HAQ ≥ 1) at follow-up. Conclusions contemporarily treated cohort, was evident 8 years after diagnosis, among women. These results suggest forthcoming need person-centered non-pharmacological rehabilitation programs optimize function improve participation daily life RA. Also, highlight developing new directed reducing disability. Key Points • Physical still Interventions specifically aimed these disabilities be further developed. Patients severe identified clinical settings rehabilitation.

Background and Objectives: Artificial intelligence has emerged as a transformative tool in healthcare, offering capabilities such early diagnosis, personalised treatment, real-time patient monitoring. In the context of rheumatoid arthritis, chronic autoimmune disease that demands timely intervention, artificial shows promise overcoming diagnostic delays optimising management. This study examines role diagnosis management focusing on perceived benefits, challenges, acceptance levels among healthcare professionals patients. Materials Methods: A cross-sectional was conducted using detailed questionnaire distributed to 205 participants, including rheumatologists, general practitioners, arthritis patients from Romania. The used descriptive statistics, chi-square tests, logistic regression analyse AI rheumatology. Data visualisation multiple imputations addressed missing values, ensuring accuracy. Statistical significance set at p < 0.05 for hypothesis testing. Results: Respondents with prior experience it more useful RA (p 0.001). Familiarity concepts positively correlated routine rheumatology practice (ρ = 1.066, main barriers identified were high costs (36%), lack medical staff training (37%), concerns regarding accuracy (21%). Although less frequently mentioned, data privacy remained relevant subset respondents. revealed could improve monitoring, being valuable by familiar digital technologies. However, 42% participants cited standardisation across systems major barrier, underscoring need effective interoperability solutions. Conclusions: potential revolutionise through faster accurate diagnoses, treatments, optimised Nevertheless, challenges costs, training, be ensure efficient integration into clinical practice.
