Aims/Background As a common chronic respiratory disease, asthma may lead to airway inflammation and accelerated, progressive loss of lung function, if not well controlled, posing risks patients’ life health. This study evaluates the impact education program on enhancing control, quality life, pulmonary function in children, addressing gaps existing management approaches. Methods In this retrospective study, 60 patients who had undergone routine nursing mode at Beijing Shijitan Hospital affiliated Capital Medical University from May 2022 2023 were enrolled for reference group; after excluding 3 patients, finally included 57 patients. Separately, 55 attended child-oriented basis care same hospital 2024 observation 2 eventually 53 The Childhood Asthma Control Test (C-ACT) score, Pediatric Quality Life Questionnaire (PAQLQ) index levels measured terms percentage predicted forced vital capacity (FVC%), peak expiratory flow (PEF), one second/forced (FEV1/FVC), disappearance time clinical symptoms (dyspnea, chest tightness, cough, wheezing) compared between two groups. Results Before management, there no differences C-ACT PAQLQ scores groups (p > 0.05). After group significantly higher than those < 0.001). There FVC%, PEF, FEV1/FVC before such as dyspnea, cough wheezing was shorter that Conclusion is beneficial disease children with asthma, improving indexes, shortening symptom disappearance.

Asthma is a chronic complex pulmonary disease characterized by airway inflammation, remodeling, and hyperresponsiveness. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) eosinophil-derived neurotoxin (EDN) are two significant mediators involved in the pathophysiology of asthma. In asthma, VEGF EDN levels elevated correlate with severity Diversity polymorphisms results variability responses to glucocorticosteroids leukotriene antagonist treatment. Targeting eosinophils promising therapeutic approach for We identified lichochalcone A, bevacizumab, azithromycin (AZT), vitamin D, diosmetin, epigallocatechin gallate, IGFBP-3, Neovastat (AE-941), endostatin, PEDF, melatonin as putative add-on drugs asthma anti-VEGF properties. Further studies clinical trials needed evaluate efficacy those drugs. The anti-thymic stromal lymphopoietin antibody (tezepelumab) has therapeutical potential for inadequately controlled asthma. However, evidence comparing tezepelumab with other biologics is scarce. To address this issue, we performed a network meta-analysis to compare and rank the efficacy of five treatments (tezepelumab, dupilumab, benralizumab, mepolizumab, placebo) in overall participants subgroups stratified by thresholds type 2 inflammatory biomarkers, including peripheral blood eosinophil count (PBEC) fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO). primary endpoints were annualized exacerbation rate (AER) any adverse events (AAEs). In ranking assessment using surface under cumulative curve (SUCRA) AER, ranked highest across (based on PBEC FeNO level thresholds). A significant difference was observed between dupilumab patient subgroup < 150, benralizumab ≥ 300 ≥150, respectively. There no incidence AAEs each pair treatment arms. These results provide basis development strategies asthma may guide basic, clinical, or translational research.

Asthma is characterized by an increase in the contraction and inflammation of airway muscles, resulting airflow obstruction. The prevalence asthma lower females than males until start puberty, higher adult women men. This sex disparity switch at onset puberty has been object debate among many researchers. Hence, this review, we have summarized these observations to pinpoint areas needing more research work provide better sex-specific diagnosis management asthma. While some researchers attributed it anatomical physiological differences male female respiratory systems, influences hormonal interplay after also stressed. Other hormones such as leptin linked both obese non-obese patients. Recently, scientists demonstrated influence genomic framework a key player, others environmental, social lifestyle, occupational exposures. majority studies concluded that men are less susceptible developing display severe forms disease. Therefore, understanding roles played sex- gender-specific factors, biological mechanisms involved will help develop novel accurate diagnostic therapeutic plans for management.
