The role of epigenetics in cardiovascular diseases has paved the way for innovative therapeutic approaches. Investigating epigenetic changes using cell-free DNA (cfDNA) holds substantial promise beyond mere diagnostics, especially heart-related conditions like acute myocardial infarction (AMI), where obtaining tissue samples is a challenge. This study explores methylation patterns cfDNA AMI patients and compares them with genomic (gDNA) from same individuals, aiming to evaluate effectiveness as valuable resource studying diseases.

Pituitary neuroendocrine tumors (PitNETs) are slow-growing neoplasms with various clinical presentations, often leading to diagnostic challenges. While neuroimaging assessment and histopathological evaluation remain the gold standard for diagnosis, emerging research highlights potential of liquid biopsy, mainly through analysis circulating non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), as a promising prognostic tool. Recent studies have demonstrated distinct expression profiles in different types subtypes tumors, implications assessing tumor aggressiveness predicting treatment response. The current article summarizes data about biofluid markers implicated PitNET development, DNA (ctDNA), cell-free (cfRNA), cells (CTCs), exosomes. Many on genetic molecular tissue samples provide exciting information biology, but date, specific biopsy biomarkers still few. Over past years, certain understanding mechanisms involved pituitary tumorigenesis has been gained, including landscape genomic alterations, changes epigenetic profile, crucial molecules signaling pathways, RNA critical roles malignant transformation. Genetic characterization PitNETs could help distinguish between functional non-functional PitNETs, invasive non-invasive forms. Further required identify validate innovative or therapeutic targets treating PitNET. Integrating into workflows revolutionize management adenomas, enabling more personalized less strategies.

One of the urgent tasks is search for early and specific markers cardiovascular diseases (CVD) in order to stratify cardiovascular risk, develop methods their prevention, diagnosis treatment. In recent decades, considerable attention has been paid plasma cell-free nucleic acids free: circulating DNA (сfDNA) non-coding RNA, particular microRNA, which are considered as promising prognostic diagnostic biomarkers many pathological conditions, since they play a key role regulation physiological pathophysiological processes. This review covers current understanding potential cfDNA microRNA assessment patients biomarkers diagnosis, risk stratification, severity monitoring CVD, with focus on coronary artery disease, heart failure cardiac allograft rejection, where this area research promising.

Head and neck squamous cell carcinomas (HNSCCs) arising from different anatomical sites present with incidences characteristics, which requires a personalized treatment strategy. Despite the extensive research that has conducted on this malignancy, HNSCC still poor overall survival rate. Many attempts have been made to improve outcomes, but one of bottlenecks is thought be lack an effective biomarker high sensitivity specificity. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are secreted by various cells participate in great number intercellular communications. Based liquid biopsy, EV detection several biofluids, such as blood, saliva, urine, applied identify existence progression variety cancers. In HNSCC, tumor-derived EVs exhibit many functionalities transporting diverse cargoes, highlights their importance tumor screening, determination multidisciplinary therapy, prediction prognosis, evaluation therapeutic effects. This review illustrates classification formation subtypes, cargoes conveyed these vesicles, respective functions cancer biology, discloses potential biomarkers during whole process diagnosis, treatment, follow-up.
