Invasive weeds of the Asteraceae family are widespread in world. Arbuscular mycorrhiza (AM) is one main factors contributing to successful distribution these species that most clearly manifested subfamily Asteroideae. The benefits plant-AMF symbiosis significant under unfavorable biotic and abiotic conditions. specificity relationship between arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) communities plants determined at presymbiotic stage. AMF colonization level higher invasive than native ones, but associated with less diverse. invaders often include fewer common (e.g., belonging Diversisporales). Invaders also reduce richness new areas. can form networks allow redistribution nutrients plant communities. influence seen formation soil rhizosphere microbiota, including suppression beneficial bacteria fungi. This review could be useful development practical recommendations for use AMF-based fertilizers.

Regenerative agriculture offers important solutions to the enormous challenges that climate crisis poses on food production. However, there are doubts about possibility of implementing many these in a particularly sector: large scale. This paper addresses issue, presenting examples large-scale vineyard soil microbiome manipulation Chile. The South American country has strongly faced effects change during last decade and organic viticulture sector is actively seeking strategies adapt new climatic reality. Here results 4 experiments under real production conditions shown. were designed assess adding various microbial consortia key agronomic parameters. Successful as well unsuccessful cases presented, allowing discussion some which can be expected have positive effects. It was found good management conditions, incorporating effective microorganisms parameters (yield, root vegetative growth). when fields yields trending downward for prolonged periods, incorporation (e.g., antagonistic fungi, nutrient-fixing nutrient-solubilizing bacteria) does not effect trend immediately. Similarly, even favorable cannot expressed short term (i.e., just few months). Therefore, its use should conceived long-term strategy, an immediate solution urgent problems.

Physalis peruviana holds significant economic value, making it crucial to determine optimal cultivation conditions, particularly concerning seed germination under varying water and temperature conditions. Therefore, this study aimed assess the impacts of heat stress on vigor P. seeds. The was divided into two trials: first examined effect constant temperatures 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 °C alternating 20 during dark period 30 light (control) vigor. second trial investigated different thermal conditions using various osmotic potentials (0; −0.3; −0.6; −0.9 MPa) (constant period). Both trials used a 16 h photoperiod. tests revealed (30 °C), moderate (20/30 minimal (20 inhibited (40 °C) for species’ germination. It found that count could be conducted seventh day after sowing. Low availability had negative effects vigor, especially at below −0.45 −0.61 MPa, combined with 20/30 °C, respectively. Severe stress, equal or completely Reduction in potential increased resulted decrease percentage, speed, quality These findings indicate species does not tolerate extreme temperatures, whether low (less than 15 high (greater 35 nor lower much less combination these factors.

Endophytes, microorganisms inhabiting internal plant tissues, play a pivotal role in growth and disease resistance. Moreover, previous studies have established that Musa plants derive protective functions from their microbiome. Notably, one of the crop wild relatives banana, Calcutta 4 variety, exhibits resistance to various phytopathogens such as Pseudocercospora fijiensis (P. fijiensis), while Williams commercial cultivar (cv.) is highly susceptible. Therefore, this study aims primarily characterize compare endophytic microbiota composition banana when grown sympatrically. Alongside, differences microbiome between sections (shoot or roots), phases (in vitro greenhouse) fitness factors addition growth-promoting bacteria Bacillus subtilis EA-CB0575 (T2 treatment) infection by P. (T3 were examined. Both culture-dependent -independent techniques used evaluate these assess culturability endophytes under varying conditions. Microbial cultures resulted 331 isolates distributed across 54 genera all treatments evaluated, whereas 16 S sequencing produced 9510 ASVs assigned 1456 genera. Alpha beta diversity exhibited significant based on section, with an increase phylogenetic observed pathogen (T3) compared control (T1). Additionally, four differentially abundant associated nitrogen metabolism identified T3 seven showed differential abundance comparing varieties. When methods compared, it was found represented 3.7 % detected culture-independent methods, accounting for 12-41 total data depending treatment. These results are crucial proposing management strategies derived enhance resilience susceptible varieties against affecting development. they help decipher pathogenic effects advance understanding how domestication influences endosphere.
