Gastrointestinal tumours are the most common solid tumours, with a poor prognosis and remain major challenge in cancer treatment. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) multipotent stromal potential to differentiate into multiple cell types. Several studies have shown that MSC-derived exosomes become essential regulators of intercellular communication variety physiological pathological processes. Notably, support or inhibit tumour progression different cancers through delivery proteins, RNA, DNA, bioactive lipids. Herein, we summarise current advances research, particular reference their role gastrointestinal development. expected be novel strategy for treatment cancers.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) stands as a significant contributor to global cancer-related mortality. Chronic inflammation, often arising from diverse sources such viral hepatitis, alcohol misuse, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), and steatohepatitis (NASH), profoundly influences HCC development. Within this context, the interplay of extracellular vesicles (EVs) gains prominence. EVs, encompassing exosomes microvesicles, mediate cell-to-cell communication cargo transfer, impacting various biological processes, including inflammation cancer progression. Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), key sentinel innate immune system, recognizes both pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) damage-associated (DAMPs), thereby triggering signaling cascades pro-inflammatory cytokine release. The intricate involvement TLR4 pathway in chronic pathogenesis is discussed study. Moreover, we delve into therapeutic potential modulating using EVs novel agents for HCC. This review underscores multifaceted role context proposes innovative avenues targeted interventions against formidable disease.

Ischemic stroke (IS) is one of the leading causes disability and mortality worldwide. This study aims to find crucial exosomal miRNAs associated with IS by using bioinformatics methods, reveal potential biomarkers for IS, investigate association between identified biomarker immune cell pattern in peripheral blood patients. In this study, 3 up-regulated (hsa-miR-15b-5p, hsa-miR-184, hsa-miR-16-5p) serum exosomes patients healthy controls from GEO database (GSE199942) 25 down-regulated genes mononuclear cells GSE22255 were obtained help R software. GO annotation KEGG pathway enrichment analysis showed that coenzyme metabolic process mainly enriched N-glycan biosynthesis pathway. Furthermore, we performed LASSO algorithm narrow down above intersected genes, 8 key which had a good diagnostic value discriminating analyzed ROC curve. CIBERSORT indicated abundance M0 macrophages resting mast was significantly lower than control group. The spearman correlation STT3A negatively correlated proportion follicular helper T cells, activated NK dendritic cells. Finally, GSE117064 has-miR-16-5p more advantageous diagnosing stroke. conclusion, hsa-miR-15b-5p, hsa-miR-16-5p are as specific related These may provide new targets early identification IS.
