Fritillaria cirrhosa bulbs, referred to as Chuanbeimu in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), are extensively used for recognized anti-inflammatory and anti-tussive effects. Both Songbei (SB) Qingbei (QB), which from this plant, have been separately medicine. However, the differences similarities their bioactive components effects remain unclear. We aimed analyse metabolic profiles of F. bulbs across different growth years explore properties two distinct medicinal materials. With nontargeted technology, main were detected. Principal component analysis (PCA) pathway enrichment carried out determine differentially expressed metabolites between years. Network pharmacology was subsequently relationships among components, diseases, key targets, pathways by constructing a network model. The drug-containing serum on cellular inflammatory factors analysed through vitro assays. A total 1349 compounds identified bulb samples. PCA revealed SB (1- 2-year-old) QB (3-, 4-, 5-year-old). Notably, 4-methoxycinnamaldehyde, tenuifoliside A, LysoPC 20:4, morpholine-4-carboximidamide hydrobromide potential distinguishing QB. more common targets related (PPARG, PPARA, PTGS1, XDH) OPRM1, DRD2, SLC6A4, HTR2A) than KEGG that inflammation cough, including tryptophan metabolism arachidonic acid metabolism, enriched group. Cellular assays effects, with having greater IL-6 TNF-α IL-1β overall By integrating metabolomic analyses, classification into based characteristics observed justified certain extent. Abstract BACKGROUND Prenylated flavonoids are widely distributed in plants, including fruits and vegetables the Moraceae Fabaceae families. These chemicals potential functional food ingredients owing to their attractive biological activities. However, natural prenylated rare, which limits application. RESULTS Here, we reported prenylation of apigenin genistein catalyzed by DMATS1, a dimethylallyl‐ l ‐tryptophan synthase from Fusarium fujikuroi . High‐performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry nuclear magnetic resonance identified structure as 6‐ C ‐prenylapigenin (6‐PA) ‐prenylgenistein (6‐PG), respectively. Cell‐based assay suggested that both 6‐PA 6‐PG induced proliferation THP‐1 cells under low concentrations were safe doses less than 50 μmol L −1 exhibited significant anti‐inflammatory activity lipopolysaccharide‐stimulated cells, inhibited production nitric oxide well downregulating transcriptional levels pro‐inflammatory cytokines, tumor necrosis factor‐α, interleukin‐8, interleukin‐1β. CONCLUSION The findings DMATS1 could catalyze genistein, generated activity, aiding recognition nutraceuticals. © 2025 Society Chemical Industry.

In recent years, the livestock industry has shown increasing concern regarding need to find effective alternatives antibiotic products while also striving produce high-quality and poultry products. Woody feed sources exhibit wide distribution variety, containing a variety of bioactive substances such as flavonoids alkaloids. Among these woody plants, Neolamarckia cadamba (Nc) characteristics high leaf yield, fast growth rate, rich nutritional value, which great development potential. However, whether Nc supplementation can improve performance, immunity, gut health yellow-feathered broilers remains be explored. present study, we aimed investigate effects diet supplemented with dry powder or water extract on intestinal broilers. The results showed that, (1) There was no significant difference in Body weight (BW), Average daily gain (ADG), intake (ADFI), Feed conversion ratio (FCR) between experimental groups control group (P > 0.05); (2) Compared group, thymus index at 63 days significantly increased 1% < 0.05). Objective: To investigate the effect of synbiotic mulberry on kidney injury in a dextran sodium sulfate (DSS)-induced colitis model. Methods: Male Wistar rats were given drinking water containing 4% DSS for 7 days. Subsequently, treated by oral gavage with at 250, 500, and 1 000 mg/kg, sulfasalazine 100 or 1000 mg/kg an additional days while receiving 0.4% water. The severity was evaluated based disease activity index score. On day 14, plasma collected, kidneys harvested to evaluate parameters histological changes. In addition, expression genes associated determined quantitative RT-PCR. Results: Treatment all doses significantly lowered score, accompanied reductions histopathological changes, malondialdehyde concentration, cystatin C levels. Kidney fibrosis also ameliorated 500 mulberry. 250 downregulated IL-18 mRNA expression, KIM-1 reduced lipopolysaccharide-binding protein level restored Conclusions: Synbiotic ameliorates DSS-induced colitis. It may be further explored as treatment under conditions.
