This study examined the effects of treadmill running (TR) regimens on craniofacial pain- and anxiety-like behaviors, as well their neural changes in specific brain regions male mice subjected to repeated social defeat stress (SDS) for 10 days. Behavioral immunohistochemical experiments were conducted evaluate impact TR SDS-related those epigenetic activity markers anterior cingulate cortex (ACC), insular (IC), rostral ventromedial medulla (RVM), cervical spinal dorsal horn (C2). responses quantified using multiple tests, while immunohistochemistry measured histone H3 acetylation, deacetylases (HDAC1, HDAC2), (FosB phosphorylated cAMP response element-binding protein (pCREB). The both short-term (2 days, TR2) long-term (10 TR10) conducted. TR10 significantly reduced anxiety- formalin-evoked pain-like behaviors SDS mice. It normalized SDS-induced increases acetylation posterior portions ACC, portion IC. These inhibitory also observed HDAC1, FosB, pCREB expression. Additionally, increased RVM C2 regions, with FosB expression region. In contrast, TR2 showed limited but Under sham conditions, had minimal acetylation. Paradoxically, during early phase despite not altering acetylated conclusion, regimen is effective attenuating likely by normalizing modifications key regions.

Objective Moderate Intensity Continuous Training (MICT) is recognized as an effective intervention for improving negative affect. However, research on its effects across varying levels of mood states in sedentary female college students remains limited. This study aimed to investigate the impact a 12-week MICT different students. Methods A total 144 participants were randomly assigned two groups, each consisting 72 individuals. The further categorized into three groups: depression, anxiety, and stress, with 24 group. Within group, divided subgroups based severity their (mild, moderate, severe), 8 subgroup. experiment spanned 12 weeks, 45-min training sessions per week. was monitored throughout using Borg Rating Perceived Exertion (RPE), heart rate measured immediately following session. intensity maintained at 60–69% HRmax weeks. Results After weeks MICT, had positive effect mild severe depressive mood, moderate stressful ( p < 0.05), but did not have statistically significant > 0.05). Conclusion may beneficial students, particularly those lower emotional distress. due absence control it difficult draw definitive conclusions about specific impact. Future studies should employ more rigorous designs better assess role both physical mental health

Acute stress has enduring effects on the brain and motivated behavior across species. For example, acute produces persisting decreases in voluntary physical activity as well molecular changes striatum, a region that regulates other behaviors. Microglia, primary immune cells of central nervous system, are positioned at interface between neural responses to coordination they respond stress, sense modulate neuronal activity. However, role striatal microglia stress-induced long-term suppression is unknown. Here, we employ single-nucleus RNA sequencing investigate how exercise impact biology striatum. We find display altered activation profiles 6 weeks after an stressor. Furthermore, show access running wheel associated with additional distinct microglial profile characterized by upregulation genes related complement components phagocytosis pathways. Finally, gene sets expression general versus variation levels. Taken together, our results deepen understanding diverse states assume response suggest exhibit broader range functional than previously thought.

Life events are important risk factors for negative psychology such as depression and anxiety. However, individuals who experienced the same life might not necessarily develop mental health problems. Some inherent psychological qualities among may determine their status under events. Physical activity is beneficial to physical health. What combined effect of on individual anxiety, whether it can alleviate induced by events, at present, there no relevant research report. To systematically analyze college students related mediating mechanism. Guided a series hypotheses, study conducted cross-sectional survey level, event experience, vulnerability, anxiety 3552 Chinese students. On basis hierarchical comparison, correlation analysis, logistics regression analysis structural equation model method were further used explore relationship between variables, test hypotheses in sequence. was negatively but positively correlated with depression; Psychological vulnerability played partial role health, accounting 22.17% 23.42% total effect, respectively; had an interaction completely role, 91.86% effect; could significantly reverse poor effectively adverse effects vulnerability.
