Currently, there is an increased interest from both scientists and consumers in the application of cannabis/hemp/phytocannabinoids skin-related disorders. However, most previous investigations assessed pharmacological properties hemp extracts, cannabidiol (CBD), or tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), with very few studies focusing on minor phytocannabinoids hemp. In this context, current work explored vitro anti-melanoma, anti-melanogenic, anti-tyrosinase effects (CBD) three phytocannabinoids, namely cannabigerol (CBG), cannabinol (CBN), cannabichromene (CBC). Among tested human malignant melanoma cells (A375, SH4, G361), only A375 were highly susceptible to 48 h treatment four (IC50 values between 12.02 25.13 μg/mL). When melanogenesis was induced murine B16F10 by α-melanocyte stimulating hormone (αMSH), CBD, CBG, CBN significantly decreased extracellular (29.76–45.14% αMSH+ cells) intracellular (60.59–67.87% melanin content at 5 μg/mL. Lastly, (50–200 μg/mL) inhibited mushroom tyrosinase, whereas CBG CBC (100–200 down-regulated tyrosinase activity; contrast, CBD practically inactive. The data show that inhibition might not be responsible for reducing biosynthesis α-MSH-treated cells. By evaluating first time preliminary confirming similar study can expand utilization and, particular, novel cosmeceutical products skin care.

Cannabis has been used as an herbal remedy for thousands of years, and recent research indicates promising new uses in medicine. So far, some studies have shown cannabinoids to be safe helping mitigate cancer-associated complications, including chemotherapy-induced nausea vomiting, pain, tumor growth. Researchers particularly interested the potential treating cancer due their ability regulate cancer-related cell cycle pathways, prompting many beneficial effects, such growth prevention, obstruction, death. Cannabinoids found affect tumors brain, prostate, colon rectum, breast, uterus, cervix, thyroid, skin, pancreas, lymph. However, full is yet understood. This review discusses current knowledge on applications three different side effects cancer—chemotherapy-induced development. The findings suggest that can address limit tumors, though a lack supporting clinical trials presents challenge use actual patients. An additional will examining whether any over one hundred naturally occurring or dozens synthetic compounds also exhibit useful properties. Currently, are underway; however, no regulatory agencies approved cannabinoid symptoms beyond antinausea.

Melanoma is highly invasive and resistant to conventional treatments, accounting for nearly 75% of skin cancer-related deaths globally. Traditional therapies, such as chemotherapy immunotherapy, often exhibit limited efficacy are associated with significant side effects due systemic drug exposure. Microneedles (MNs), an emerging delivery system, offer multiple advantages, including safety, painlessness, minimal invasiveness, controlled release. Among these, hydrogel microneedles (HMNs) stand out their extracellular matrix-like structure swelling-induced continuous channels, which enable the direct therapeutic agents into tumor microenvironment (TME). This approach enhances bioavailability while reducing toxicity, establishing HMNs a promising platform melanoma treatment. review highlights recent advancements in therapy, focusing on applications biomarker extraction early diagnosis role supporting multimodal treatment strategies, chemotherapy, phototherapy, targeted combination therapy. Furthermore, current matrix materials fabrication techniques discussed. Finally, limitations critically analyzed, recommendations future research development provided.

Malignant melanoma (MM) continues to claim millions of lives around the world due its limited therapeutic alternatives. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has gained popularity in cancer treatment it increased potency and low off-target toxicity. Studies have pointed out that heterogeneity MM tumours reduces efficacy current approaches, including PDT, leading high chances recurrences post-treatment. Accumulating evidence suggests cannabidiol (CBD), a non-psychoactive derivative cannabis, can synergise with various anticancer agents increase their efficacy. However, CBD demonstrates bioavailability, which is attributed factors relating poor water compatibility, absorption rapid metabolism. Nanotechnology offers tools address these issues enhance biological efficiency targeted specificity agents. Herein, we highlighted standard modalities pitfalls, as well need for further investigation into PDT combination CBD.

Over the past decades, Colombia has suffered complex social problems related to illicit crops, including forced displacement, violence, and environmental damage, among other consequences for vulnerable populations. Considerable effort been made in regulation of predominantly Cannabis sativa, leading advances such as legalization medical cannabis its derivatives, improvement leaving an open window development scientific knowledge explore alternative uses. It is estimated that C. sativa can produce approximately 750 specialized secondary metabolites. Some most relevant due their anticancer properties, besides cannabinoids, are monoterpenes, sesquiterpenoids, triterpenoids, essential oils, flavonoids, phenolic compounds. However, despite increase research on subject, it necessary study primary metabolism plant identify key pathways great metabolic potential.
