Obesity is a contributing factor that increases the likelihood of developing chronic kidney disease. In recent years, studies have found light pollution worldwide promoted obesity, which was known to be consequence circadian rhythm disruption. Herein, we fed mice high-fat diet gave them dim white (dWL), blue (dBL), green (dGL), red (dRL) for 12 weeks. Abstract Microplastics (MPs) are pervasive pollutants impacting ecosystems worldwide, causing physical harm and behavioral changes in wildlife. MP toxicity mainly depends on size, porosity, weathering, surrounding compounds. MPs disrupt feeding metabolism, resulting reproductive, neurological, disorders. These impacts significantly alter ecological niches reduce animal survival. Understanding these is crucial for assessing the broader effects of plastic pollution developing effective mitigation strategies. This review investigated 110 papers quantifying consequences while considering their_physiological basis, emphasizing significance their potential long-term influence populations ecosystems. study thoroughly investigates model species, including plankton, fish, amphibians, crustaceans, pollinators, mammals. Fish exhibited most significant impact, crustaceans showed least. Mice, representing mammals, displayed severe physiological damage.

Melatonin is important for synchronizing biological rhythms and regulating behavioral, physiological, neurobiological circadian processes. Therefore, it a good candidate investigating the consequences of artificial light at night (ALAN), which major global pollutant reduces nighttime melatonin levels. The negative effects ALAN on health biodiversity are thoroughly studied, however less known about its adult brain plasticity (ABP). This study investigated role in mediating ABP behavior zebra finches (Taeniopygia guttata). Birds were exposed to control (dark nights) or (5 lx) conditions treated with via skin cream. We measured locomotor activity (NMA), plasma levels, parameters: cell proliferation ventricular zone, neuronal recruitment, apoptosis, total densities three forebrain regions: nidopallium caudale (NC), medial striatum (MSt), hippocampus (HC). alone reduced melatonin, increased NMA, proliferation, apoptosis MSt NC but not HC, appeared more resilient. However, when treatments combined ALAN, generally counteracted NMA ABP, except remained resilient even under treatments. Our findings suggest that can counteract ALAN-induced changes behavior. Further research (e.g. wild species lifelong ALAN-exposed birds) needed evaluate these results an ecological context, be used nature conservation efforts.
