Lactiplantibacillus plantarum is a Gram-positive, bacilli-shaped bacterium commonly found in fermented foods and the human gastrointestinal tract. Heat-treatment of L. OLL2712 prior to consumption has been have positive health effects. However, full toxicological evaluation heat-treated cells (heat-treated OLL2712) not conducted. In this regard, was evaluated for use as an ingredient food dietary supplements using panel tests including genotoxic subchronic studies. Heat-treated did show any genotoxicity based on vitro mammalian chromosomal aberration test vivo mouse micronucleus assay up 8.0 × 10

Parkinson's Disease (PD) is a prevalent neurodegenerative disorder characterized by motor and non-motor symptoms. Emerging evidence suggests that gut microbiota alterations, specifically involving short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) like butyrate, may influence PD pathogenesis symptomatology. This Systematic Review aims to synthesize current research on the role of butyrate in modulating symptoms its neuroprotective effects PD, providing insights into potential therapeutic approaches. A systematic literature search was conducted April 2024 across databases, including ScienceDirect, Scopus, Wiley, Web Science, for studies published between 2000 2024. Keywords used were "neuroprotective AND (Parkinson disease OR symptoms)". Four authors independently screened titles, abstracts, full texts, applying inclusion criteria focused investigating regulation total 1377 articles identified, with 40 selected full-text review 14 meeting criteria. Data extraction performed study population, models, methodology, intervention details, outcomes. Quality assessment using SYRCLE RoB tool highlighted variability quality, some biases noted allocation concealment blinding. Findings indicate has significant impact improving offers benefits models. The modulation enhance levels presents promising strategy symptom management.

Previously, the exopolysaccharides produced by Lactiplantibacillus plantarum C7 isolated from broiler intestine have been shown to possess probiotic potential. In this study, we highlighted capacity of strain produce exopolysaccharide (EPS) endowed with several biological activities. The 2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2′-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid) (ABTS) free radical scavenging activities EPS were found be 30.4% 68.165%, respectively, at 100 mg/mL. ferrous reducing potential was measured 25.26%. Furthermore, exhibited antibacterial effects against both Gram-negative Gram-positive pathogens, including Escherichia coli ATCC 10536 Bacillus cereus 11778, inhibition zones 22.5 ± 0.70 mm 20 1.41, respectively. On other hand, also excellent inhibitory activity butyrylcholinesterase (BChE), achieving 70.99% a concentration 10 FTIR spectra used characterize functional groups in EPS. Our findings proved that could explored for various applications, particularly health food sectors.

Health benefits probiotics were related to allergy, depression, eczema, cancer, obesity, inflammatory diseases, viral infections, immune regulation. Probiotic bacterial cells contain various proteins that function as effector molecules, explaining roles in probiotic actions is a key developing efficient targeted treatments for disorders. Systematic proteomic studies (probioproteomics) provide information about type involved, expression levels, pathological changes.
