Atherosclerosis,

cardiovascular

study,
we
aimed
to
assess
impact

ethanolic
extracts
propolis
oxidized
low-density
lipoprotein
(OxLDL)
lectin-like
receptor-1
(LOX-1)
in
progression
atherosclerotic
process,
characterized
by
oxidative
stress,
inflammation,
dyslipidemia.

knockout
(ApoE−/−)
C57BL/6J
mice
were
used
as
study
groups.
Water

(EEP)
administered
intraperitoneally
ApoE−/−
modeled
high-fat
diet.
Under
anesthesia,
animals
euthanized

tissues,

collected.
Serum
total
cholesterol

triglyceride
(TG),
OxLDL
LOX-1
levels,

tissue
homogenate,

lipid

supplementation

decreased
serum
TC,
TG,
OxLDL,
LOX-1,

burden

suggest
that

supplement
or
complementary
medical/functional
food.
However,
further
research
needed
elucidate
their
molecular
mechanisms,

clinical
efficacy
