Heart failure is considered as a terminal stage of the cardiovascular continuum, beginning with exposure to risk factors followed by development asymptomatic damage, progressing clinically manifest disease. Conventional such arterial hypertension, dyslipidemia, obesity, and diabetes mellitus, on one hand, directly cause structural functional changes in heart, other contribute progression atherosclerosis. Despite fact that multifocal nature atherosclerosis well known, research data role peripheral heart are extremely limited. The study potential relationships between arteries relevant all sex age groups patients.

Atherosclerosis, which has important effects on the development of cardiovascular diseases, is a widespread health problem with highest mortality rate globally. In this study, we aimed to assess impact water and ethanolic extracts propolis oxidized low-density lipoprotein (OxLDL) lectin-like receptor-1 (LOX-1) in progression atherosclerotic process, characterized by oxidative stress, inflammation, dyslipidemia. our apolipoprotein E knockout (ApoE−/−) C57BL/6J mice were used as study groups. Water (WEP) (EEP) administered intraperitoneally ApoE−/− modeled high-fat diet. Under anesthesia, animals euthanized decapitation, serum, along aortic tissues, was collected. Serum total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), OxLDL LOX-1 levels, levels tissue homogenate, subendothelial lipid accumulation histological staining determined statistical analyses performed. WEP EEP supplementation significantly decreased serum TC, TG, OxLDL, LOX-1, reduced plaque burden root, statistically significant differences observed. Those results suggest that have potential treatment option for atherosclerosis, food supplement or complementary medical/functional food. However, further research needed elucidate their molecular mechanisms, evaluate clinical efficacy safety, explore possible synergistic existing atherosclerosis treatments.

Interleukin-6 (IL-6) plays multifaceted roles in cancer and atherosclerosis. Initially recognized for its role immune response inflammation, IL-6 promotes tumor progression via the JAK-STAT MAP kinase pathways is associated with poor prognoses. In atherosclerosis, contributes to endothelial dysfunction plaque formation. This review highlights shared inflammatory mechanisms of both diseases explores regulatory dynamics signaling, including gene polymorphisms epigenetic modifications. Google Scholar, Scopus, PubMed were searched English-language articles on those reporting pathogenic atherosclerosis from their inception through June 2024. The investigation into IL-6's reveals intricate interconnected nature processes chronic diseases. conditions underscores centrality disease pathology, particularly involvement modulation, cellular proliferation. commonality as a key player linking these seemingly distinct Given mechanism this narrative concludes by emphasizing therapeutic potential modulating treating It advocates personalized treatment strategies that combine targeted therapies lifestyle holistic approach considered crucial effective management, given diverse complex widespread conditions.

Hokkaido University (Tsumita T, 2022) researchers found that endothelial cells accumulate low-density lipoproteins (LDL) in tumor blood vessels. At the same time, endothelium carries out neutrophil chemotaxis, which perform an immunosuppressive function contributing to cancer progression. Aim. To search for relationship between white cell (WBC) count and some lipid profile parameters patients with myocardial infarction (MI). Material methods . We examined 319 who were treated at Dzhanelidze Research Institute of Emergency Medicine 2018-2023, divided into three groups: MI combination active — 132 (Group I), MI+cancer history 58 II), without 129 III). Following laboratory data used routine practice assessed: WBC count, relative total cholesterol, lipoproteins. Results. Cancer are characterized by higher than other samples However, cholesterol level was significantly lower this sample, LDL not different. Patients previous occupied intermediate position groups I III terms studied parameters. Conclusion. In general, on role levels contradictory. particular, studies have shown elevated a potential risk factor cancer. our study, as number others, no significant associations identified presence Our study is step towards understanding connection concentration immune response MI.

Background: Xin-Tong-Tai Granule (XTTG), a Chinese medicine (CM) formula, has demonstrated significant therapeutic effects on atherosclerosis (AS) in both clinical and experimental settings. Nonetheless, the mechanisms underlying XTTG's efficacy remain largely unexplored. This study aimed to elucidate through which XTTG acts against AS, employing network pharmacology, molecular docking, validation techniques. Methods: Initially, target identification for main chemical components of was conducted using database, followed by determining intersection targets between these compounds disease. Protein-protein interaction (PPI) analysis, Gene Ontology (GO) enrichment, Kyoto Encyclopedia Genes Genomes (KEGG) pathway analyses were subsequently utilized investigate potential pathways exerts its AS. Molecular docking done confirm binding active components. Additionally, evaluated vitro oxidized low-density lipoprotein (ox-LDL) induced human aortic vascular smooth muscle cells (HAVSMCs) vivo apolipoprotein E gene knockout (ApoE −/− ) mice fed high-fat diet (HFD). Results: 229 screened PPI enrichment analysis. Notably, nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-κB) signaling pathway, along with processes related inflammation autophagy, significantly enriched, highlighting their importance. In studies showed that repressed cell proliferation lipid droplet aggregation ox-LDL-induced HAVSMCs. It also decreased ratio phosphorylated NF-κB p65/ p65, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) interleukin-6 (IL-6) levels, elevated microtubule-associated protein light chain 3 (LC3) p62 expression. vivo, ameliorated blood profiles pathology HFD-fed ApoE mice, reduced p65 expression serum levels TNF-α IL-6, increased LC3II/LC3I while decreasing Conclusion: mitigates AS primarily anti-inflammatory autophagy-modulating mechanisms, particularly via inhibition These findings underscore CM treating support further exploration.
