International Journal of Molecular Sciences, Journal Year: 2025, Volume and Issue: 26(6), P. 2566 - 2566

Published: March 13, 2025

This study investigates the liquid crystalline behavior, photophysical properties, and metal ion sensing capabilities of a pyrene-based imine dimer (DPyH9). The compound exhibits monotropic nematic mesophase with glass transition at 43 °C, as confirmed by polarized light microscopy (PLM) differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Its including UV-vis absorption, solvatochromic fluorescence, acidochromism, observed through spectral shifts upon HCl addition, were systematically analyzed. Notably, DPyH9 displayed selective towards Sn2+ Cu2+ binding constants 4.51 × 106 M−1 4.03 107 detection limits 1.61 10−5 M (Sn2+) 4.73 (Cu2+). Fluorescence titrations revealed distinct responses: induced an initial quenching enhancement higher concentrations, while caused significant fluorescence quenching. These results therefore highlight potential candidate for applications optoelectronic devices.

Published: Oct. 14, 2024

Thiazole-derived Schiff base compounds possess significant pharmacological properties, influencing various enzymes in metabolic pathways and exhibiting antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiproliferative activities. This study delves into the synthesis, characterization, in-silico analysis of ten thiazole-embedded derivatives (TZ1-10), benchmarking them against five Food Drug Administration (FDA)-approved breast cancer drugs. Molecular docking multiple therapeutic targets related to fatty acid synthase cell proliferation (PDB IDs: 4FX3, 4OAR, 3NUP, 3ERT) alongside ADME Lipinski rule assessments were conducted. Compounds TZ6 TZ8 emerged as promising candidates with scores -8.0 kcal/mol -8.2 respectively 4FX3 protein. These findings contribute a deeper understanding derivatives, showcasing their potential for future medicinal scientific applications.
