This work describes a novel method for converting bismuth triiodide (BiI3) microplates into oxyiodide (BiOI) nanoflakes under ultrasonic irradiation. To produce BiOI with high yield and purity, the conversion process was carefully adjusted. Rapid reaction kinetics increased mass transfer are benefits of ultrasonic-assisted approach that result in well-defined converted nanostructures superior characteristics. The produced were examined utilizing range analytical methods, such as Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) X-ray diffraction (XRD). progress time monitored through diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS). outcomes demonstrated effective BiI3 crystalline, homogeneous, high-surface-area nanoflakes. Additionally, degradation organic dyes (methylene blue) ultraviolet (UV) light irradiation used to assess photocatalytic efficacy Because their distinct morphology electrical structure, remarkably remarkable activity, outperforming traditional photocatalysts. ability effectively separate utilize visible photons makes them viable option environmental remediation applications. not only shows promise sustainable applications but also demonstrates simple scalable manufacturing. knowledge gathered from this opens up new avenues investigating techniques creating sophisticated nanomaterials customized characteristics technological uses.
