Zinc-ion hybrid supercapacitors (ZHSCs) are considered to be a promising and safe energy storage system. The design of carbon-based cathode materials is crucial improving the performance ZHSCs. In this work, nitrogen-doped porous carbon fiber (NPCE) was prepared by combination template etching methods, which could directly serve as for ion transfer channel adjusted rationally controlling amount ZnO agent, enhanced increased capacitive contribution. pyrolysis polyacrylonitrile nitrogen resources provided rich functional groups charge storage. 2 M ZnSO4 electrolyte, optimized NPCE-4 exhibited superior electrochemical with capacitance 283.9 F g–1 at current density 1 mA cm–2. ZHSC achieved an 101 Wh kg–1 power 457 W kg–1, along excellent cycle life capacity retention rate 98.9% 20 cm–2 after 10 000 cycles.
