The energy sector faces expanding risks associated with Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs). These incidents pose challenges for securing power generation, distribution, and other operations that rely on Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Supervisory Data Acquisition (SCADA) technologies. Entities have employed diversified defensive measures, but attackers continue to refine perpetuate long-duration intrusions. Blockchain has attracted attention as a potential solution preserve data integrity, decentralize trust, ensure tamper resistance, thus helping organizations detect mitigate advanced cyberattacks. This chapter explores the role of blockchain in protecting infrastructures against APTs, drawing relevant literature, regulatory reports, technical studies. It reviews fundamentals, elaborates how this technology can disrupt APT intrusion lifecycle, outlines conceptual framework integrating into ICS architectures. Considerations scalability, governance, interoperability, policy are discussed.

Usable security and privacy in public services are critical considerations today’s digital age, where governments increasingly rely on technology to deliver efficiently while safeguarding sensitive information. Successful usage of these electronic depends citizens’ trust level e-government channels. Therefore, the design service organizations should consider usability aspect controls. In this paper, we present results a quantitative study conducted Saudi Arabia understand end users’ perceptions regarding usable their usage. Based findings, model further improve aspects, which will help policymakers practitioners provision by means. The can be refined different geographical contexts cybersecurity through integrated efforts citizens, service-providing government agencies.

The global energy landscape is witnessing a transformational shift brought about by the adoption of renewable technologies along with power system modernisation. Distributed generation (DG), smart grids (SGs), microgrids (MGs), and advanced storage systems (AESSs) are key enablers sustainable resilient future. This review deepens analysis fulminating change in systems, detailing growth wind solar integration, next-generation high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission systems. Moreover, we address important aspects such as monitoring, protection, control, dynamic modelling distribution metering infrastructure (AMI) development. Emphasis laid on involvement artificial intelligence (AI) techniques optimised grid operation, voltage stability, integration lifetime resources islanding hosting capacities. paper reviews advancements their applications, enabling identification opportunities challenges to be addressed toward achieving modern, intelligent, efficient infrastructure. It wraps up perspective future research paths well discussion potential hybrid models that integrate AI machine learning (ML) distributed (DESs) improve grid’s resilience sustainability.
