sex
pheromone
blend
for
mate
communication.

elucidate
the
genes
related
to
biosynthesis
of
these
components,
transcriptome
sequencing
female
E.
obliqua
gland
abdomen
without
was
performed.
Comparative
RNAseq
analyses
identified
52
putative
genes,
including
7
fatty
acyl-CoA
elongases
(ELOs),
9
reductases
(FARs),
1
decarbonylase
(DEC),
3
lipophorins
(LIPs),
32
cytochrome
P450
enzymes
(CYPs).
Tissue
expression
profiles
revealed
that
two
ELOs
(ELO3
ELO5),
FARs
(FAR2
FAR9),
one
DEC
(CYP4G173),
LIP
(LIP1)
displayed
either
abdomen-centric
or
-specific
expression,
suggesting
potential
roles
in
within
oenocytes
obliqua.
Furthermore,
tissue
patterns,
combined
with
phylogenetic
analysis,
showed
CYP340BD1,
which
expressed
specifically
predominantly
only
gland,
clustered
previously
reported
epoxidases,
highlighting
its
role
epoxidation
unsaturated
polytriene
components.
Collectively,
our
research
provides
valuable
insights
into
linked
biosynthesis.
