Introduction: Anorexia nervosa (AN) is a psychiatric disorder with high mortality rate and significant prevalence in the paediatric population. Preliminary reports during COVID-19 pandemic suggested an increased incidence of AN among children adolescents. The objective this study was to analyse new cases before, during, after pandemic, particular focus on physical manifestations disease. Methods: This single-centre, retrospective included from hospital database regional (a reference centre for AN) between 2013 2023. Data analysed duration disease, body mass index (BMI), weight loss, length hospitalisation, laboratory markers (leukopenia, anaemia, hypoproteinaemia, hyperferritinaemia, hypophosphataemia, dyslipidaemia, hypothyroxinaemia) clinical features malnutrition (such as amenorrhea bradycardia, pericardial effusion, cortical/subcortical atrophy). Results: conducted Polish hospital. We 228 hospitalized female patients aged 10 18 years diagnosed AN, focusing characteristics, biochemical markers, impact pandemic. shown have impact, longer hospitalisations observed lower BMI admission post-pandemic compared pre-pandemic. In addition, nutritional treatment became more prevalent over time while such hypothyroidism, dyslipidaemia were statistically common post-pandemic. Conclusions: demonstrates course hospitalisation patterns AN. These findings suggest that may exacerbated disease severity altered approaches, emphasizing need enhanced management follow-up strategies population health crises.

Abstract Background Self-harm and suicidal ideation are prevalent among adolescents, cause physical psychosocial disability, have potentially life-threatening consequences. Dialectical behavioral therapy for Adolescents (DBT-A) is an evidence-based intervention reducing self-harm. However, few studies investigated the effectiveness of DBT-A when delivered in routine clinical practice. Methods A follow-up cohort study, based on data from a quality assessment register child adolescent mental health services including seven outpatient clinics. Inclusion criteria were ongoing or history self-harming behavior last 6 months; current behavior; at least 3 DSM-IV Borderline personality disorder (BPD), self-destruction criterion BPD, addition to minimum 2 subthreshold criteria; fluency Norwegian. Participants received 20 weeks consisting multifamily skills training groups individual sessions. Outcomes 41 participants included frequency self-harm, suicide attempts hospitalizations caused by self-harm attempts, assessed pre-, during, post-treatment self-report reviews patient’s medical records. Suicidal ideation, urge perceived feelings happiness sadness patients’ diary cards week 1, 5, 10, 15 treatment program. Results attended average 17.9 ( SD = 4.7) sessions, 14.7 3.4) group-based sessions 4.6 4.1) brief intersession telephone consultations. Moderate large within-group effect sizes (ES) found pre-treatment 1–5 d 0.64), 6–10 0.84), 11–15 0.99), 16–20 1.26) 1.68). Nine admitted hospitalization during DBT-A, whereas five had attempted suicide, but no suicides completed. No statistically significant changes pre post treatment. A pesquisa em questão trata-se de um estudo sobre os impactos do isolamento social durante a pandemia COVID-19 na saúde crianças e adolescentes. Tal medida sanitária ocasionou diversas mudanças rotina dos jovens que causaram repercussões importantes. Esse trabalho tem como objetivo identificar adolescentes causados pelo social. Trata-se uma revisão integrativa da literatura, realizado partir buscas nas bases dados eletrônicas SCIELO, BVS PubMed, usando descritores Isolamento social/aislamiento social/social isolation, criança/niño/child, adolescente/adolescente/adolecent junto com descritor COVID-19, entre anos 2023 2024. Por conseguinte, constatou o afetou drasticamente mental das adolescentes, exacerbando patologias basais, impedindo alcance tratamentos adequados diminuiu quantidade atividades físicas realizadas pelos jovens.
