Today's awareness of environmental pollution and the idea creating a reuse area for waste is one trend topics. The base opinion, regarding any material that all resources are inherently limited in world. In ethical approach, it moral issue people take responsibility future generations to protect nature. Eggshells most used natural biomasses. And harmless eggshells deserve be researched reveal their potential. aim this study, blending characterization processes with research published until now, finding criteria unique structures application capacities eggshell species, ensures choosing right type as biomass industry, directing usage appropriate applications industries. many industries, benchmarks types capacity gives clue selecting suitable place. different species (Coturnix Coturnix Japonica, Anser Anser, Denizli Hen, Alectoris Chukar, Struthio Camelus) were characterized by XRD, FTIR, AFM, Stereo Microscope, SEM, XRF, TGA analysis. Calcined forms samples XRF analysis results precursor determine temperature calcination (800–900°). XRD show CaCO3 peak 2Ɵ=29.58° eggshells. reason why not observed after process entire structure converted CaO. To address the demands of low-carbon era, this study proposed a solution by using eggshell powder (ESP), fly ash, and ground granulated blast furnace slag together with alkaline in preparation lightweight geopolymer foam concrete (LWGFC). The aim is to investigate influence replacing precursor materials 5–20% ESP on expansion behavior, physical, mechanical characteristics, thermal conductivity LWGFC. Additionally, examines effect varying silicate modulus (SiO2/Na2O ratios 1.0, 1.25, 1.5) properties Incorporating from 5% 20% constant SiO2/Na2O ratio reduced initial setting time, while high controlled time volume. decreased porosity enhanced compressive strength LWGFC but increased conductivity. inclusion more than 10% content negatively affected strength; however, can mitigate detrimental effect. optimal-content mixtures 1.0 was about 0.84 W/m·K, which 2.1% lower 1.25 18.6% those 1.5. High-content had density 1707 kg/m3, 0.97 18.9 MPa at low ratio. Finally, LWGFC, along use an appropriate modulus, resulted improved development decreasing porosity.

Phosphorus (P) is a crucial factor influencing both plant growth and the enrichment of aquatic environment. Agriculture primary sector economy where demand for phosphorus highest. Due to depletion P, more attention being paid possibility recovering reusing P through idea circular (CE). The main objective this study was compare raw eggshells (R-ESs) calcined (C-ESs) removal from wastewater assess possible use agro-waste materials according CE requirements in non-flow conditions. A synthetic indicator, zeroed unitarization method, calculated evaluate critical aspects CE. sorption R-ESs C-ESs equaled 0.90 1.66 mgP-PO4/g an initial concentration 17.3 mgP-PO4/L. were characterized by almost two times higher reduction rate than R-ESs. indicator 0.89 0.72 C-ESs, respectively. This means that are sustainable C-ESs. Although potentially have significant environmental impact, it worth considering method elimination beneficial ecological perspective.

The Mediterranean region faces significant water scarcity, a challenge intensified by climate change, impacting both agricultural productivity and quality. High sodium levels in irrigation compromise soil structure, leading to reduced crop yields economic strain. This study investigates the use of sustainable adsorbents derived from residues (almond shell, eggshell, pumice) for removal water. These materials, widely available Mediterranean, support circular economy principles repurposing biowaste address challenges. Adsorption experiments were conducted using real water, capturing complexity its physicochemical properties evaluate effectiveness these biosorbents under practical conditions. A Central Composite Rotational Design (CCRD) was applied optimize adsorption parameters, focusing on adsorbent concentration, agitation, contact time. Kinetic studies indicated that adhered pseudo-second order model, suggesting chemically controlled process. Isotherm analysis, with strong fit Jovanovic confirmed predominantly monomolecular mechanism across all adsorbents, while Freundlich model highlighted site heterogeneity. Microscopy energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) revealed structural modifications before after treatment. porous internal structure almond shell displayed retention, calcified eggshell surface showed high initial efficiency but rapid saturation. Pumice, noted extensive porosity, sustained capacity even deposits formed during research demonstrates potential biowaste-derived efficient complex aqueous systems, offering viable solution agriculture improved management regions.
