Background/Objectives: Today, regenerative therapy is routinely utilized in both medical and dental practices. Its outstanding results are due to the continuous development of technology invention modern, more advanced biomaterials. The overarching idea current has shifted direction materials applied being osseointegrative, bioactive, responsive stimuli from body actively promoting overall regeneration natural bone tissue. aim determine whether chitosan a material capable improving biological properties different types and, if so, which affected. Methods: After going through eligibility criteria, twenty articles, with total seventeen vitro studies six vivo (some articles consisting both), were included this study. Results: presented colorimetric assays as most commonly used methods investigating studies, while researchers mainly rely on radiological histological evaluation. analyzing data systematic review, it clear that found advantage chitosan-modified grafts terms bioactivity, osteogenic potential, biomineralization biodegradability antibacterial activity. In stood out better biocompatibility, ability biodegradability. Conclusions: conclusion, can be noted have proven efficacy influence evidently favorable properties.
