The special metabolite of Fusarium spp. zearalenone (ZEN) exerts estrogenic effects on mammals, stimulates plant growth, sexual development in fungi, and inhibits fungal growth. These activities inspired hypotheses about the biological function ZEN. We briefly review discovery ZEN its implications. main subject this is a critical assessment that hormone, virulence factor, or defense metabolite. Conceptual technical issues related to testing these hypotheses, such as inadequate analytical methods, confusion incidental with functions, lack normalization, are illuminated. Based considerations, gene knockout experiments, biotic interactions synthesis, we argue protecting against mycoparasites competitors. Similar reasoning published data suggest fusaristatin A fulfils same function. Fungi produce many macrolactones resorcylic acid (RALs) dihydroxyphenylacetic (DHPLs) properties similar Their widespread occurrence, antifungal activity, further considerations prompt us hypothesize fundamental RALs DHPLs lies interference competition.

This study investigated the stability of bipartite nonlinear fractional-order multi-agent systems (FOMASs) in presence false data injection attacks (FDIAs) a hostile environment. To tackle this problem we used signed graph theory, Razumikhin methodology, and Lyapunov function method. The main focus our proposed work is to provide method for FOMASs against FDIAs. technique improves Lyapunov-based analysis by supporting handling intricacies dynamics. Moreover, utilizing analyzed both cooperative interactions between agents within MASs. We determined system requirements ensure robustness erroneous injections through comprehensive theoretical investigation. present numerical examples illustrate efficiency technique.

This work describes the characterization of Trichoderma atroviride strain CMU-08, isolated from Michoacán, Mexico. CMU-08 demonstrated robust growth and conidiation across a temperature range 16 to 32 °C pH 4 9 on potato dextrose agar (PDA) malt extract (MEA) media. The is an efficient antagonist six species phytopathogenic fungi oomycetes in PDA, MEA, Vogel minimal medium (VMM). Antagonist mechanisms included direct mycoparasitism observed dual-culture assays, as well antibiosis attributed inhibition via both volatile non-volatile metabolites, with effectiveness varying depending test phytopathogen culture medium. Extracellular filtrates (ECFs) recovered liquid cultures under basal induced conditions using Botrytis cinerea cell walls significantly inhibited their at concentration 750 µg/mL. Moreover, detached tomato leaf these ECFs reduced foliar damage caused by B. 24–34%. organic compounds (VOCs) produced also exhibited substantial efficacy, reducing up 50% similar tests. Despite showing no extracellular chitinase enzymatic activity, significant induction this activity supplemented Fusarium sp. walls. Four genes encoding chitinases (chit33, chit36, ech42, locus 217415) showed different dynamics transcriptional regulation during confrontation sp., according interaction stage. shows physiological versatility employs variety toward microorganisms, making it good candidate for developing biocontrol product field application.
