Abstract
Empathy
is
essential
to
the
development
of
communication
skills.
Simulating
psychosis
develop
empathy
for
mental
health
patients
complex;
we
hypothesized
that
virtual
reality
(VR)
would
be
effective
in
increasing
care
students.

study

Introduction
Schizophrenia
imposes
a
significant
burden
on
global
public
health
and
is
associated
with
pervasive
stigmatization,
perpetuating
misconceptions
of
danger
incompetence.

review
examines

efficacy

reducing
stigmas

towards

Methods
A
comprehensive
literature

2021

2022
identified
14

studies

criteria.
Results
Analysis
revealed
diverse
landscape
simulation-based
interventions,
characterized
by
variability
methodological
rigor,
intervention
design,
technological
modalities.
While
some
demonstrated
promising
outcomes
stigma
reduction
enhancement,
limitations
inconsistencies
underscore
need
for
cautious
interpretation
findings.
Furthermore,
mixed
characteristics
development
highlight
complexity
effectiveness.
Discussion
Despite
these
challenges,
particularly
when
integrated
additional
components,
hold
potential
mitigating
stigmatization
promoting
empathy.
Future
research
should
prioritize
outcome
assessment,
tailored
strategies
