Abstract This paper provides a comprehensive overview of urban inequality in the Stockholm Metropolitan Area analyzing spatial distribution amenities and their accessibility. Inequality is measured by multidimensional index that can be decomposed into sum indices computed on marginal distributions across locations plus residual term accounting for joint distribution. Our research leverages unique dataset combines income data approximately 200,000 geocoded individuals residing metropolitan area with information from OpenStreetMap platform, enabling us to examine both natural design-related amenities. Furthermore, we integrate online platforms analyze housing market, merging it information. findings reveal moderate levels within Area, social segregation emerging as primary driver this inequality. Abstract Urban green spaces (UGS) are increasingly appraised as critical elements of contemporary urban landscapes, offering multiple benefits that directly and indirectly influence residents’ subjective well-being (SWB). In recent years, particularly in the context climate change challenges societal impacts COVID-19 pandemic, research on UGS-SWB nexus has surged, reflecting a growing interest understanding nuances this relationship for informed planning. Despite mounting scientific evidence, topic continues to be marked by interpretative complexity ambiguity. The article aims establish cohesive framework could serve platform move from general findings simple deterministic associations more integrated approach planning UGS enhances SWB. To achieve this, we conducted systematic review 63 empirical studies published between 2013 2023, mapping landscape, identifying trends, exploring methodological aspects. Drawing analysis, developed comprehensive studying with well-being. proposed identifies three core components –individuals, attributes, broader spatial context– interact through two sets processes – exposure mechanisms pathways influence– highlighting dynamic reciprocal ways UGSs affect This structured acknowledges complex nature relationship, facilitates cross-disciplinary research, supports evidence-based policy development.

However, their economic benefits different spatial contexts within highly urbanized areas remain critical yet understudied topic. This study delves into value Cheongju City, Republic Korea, investigates distance-decay features associated with proximity to residential properties. Two econometric models were employed address these questions: spatially autoregressive (SAR) model generalized additive (GAM). The SAR was used assess spaces, whereas distance decay examined GAM. Empirical analyses revealed that small-sized parks or forests under 20 ha hold greater when compared medium-sized between 200 ha. Conversely, large over appeared have disamenity effect, negatively impacting property prices close proximity. GAM’s smooth functions illustrated effect shorter for exhibited an inverted U-shape large-sized ones, resulting negative benefit Our findings suggest positive impact on prices, but this may not apply uniformly forests. Therefore, enhance residents’ welfare, infrastructure policies should prioritize provision accessible small- and/or near areas.
