The technological leap in the digital age has triggered a higher demand for emotional experiences. Since vision long been recognized as most important source of information people to perceive city, visual characteristics urban built environment have an impact on experience it creates. This study takes facades and external environments representative public building category, museums, research objects, explore how different types elements that make up museum’s facade surrounding affect people’s by affecting quality. Tobii Pro Fusion devices emotion scales are used collection multimodal data. A total 298 participants aged between 20 25 were recruited participate experiment voluntarily 229 valid data finally obtained. results show museum environmental effects quality experience: (1) Interactive significant experience. (2) artificial is related their size spatial composition facade. When uniqueness, regionality, symbolism associated with museum, they more likely trigger (3) Visual significantly correlated through both preconscious conscious cognition. reveal proves role students’ experience, further illustrating designing creating good conducive promoting humanistic environment. Meanwhile, this also promotes method evaluation from perspective, providing scientific objective way intervention “emotions” research.

The city's rapid development would lead to irreversible changes in architectural heritage. As one of the ways promote sustainable development, world heritage tourism has opened up a new perspective for protection, inheritance and Taking study Historic Centre Macau as an example, employing eye-tracking experiment semantic differential method (SD method) explore relationship between tourists' perceptions visual elements heritage, positive emotions, behavioral intentions. results show that terms elements, style wall (p = 0.013 < 0.05, B 0.165), proportional balance windows 0.047 0.120), exquisite decoration door 0.028 0.125), other buildings 0.042 0.121) have impact on intention. In 0.001 0.177), intense 0.000 0.01, 0.228), enthusiastic 0.008 0.156) emotions were positively correlated with research can provide scientific basis decisional reference protection Macau.

In recent years, the development of China’s megacities has entered stage stock renewal. Research and practice concerning old city renewal in cities with a long history, represented by Beijing, also become hot spot for researchers designers fields urban planning, architecture landscape architecture. As one main spatial components city, Beijing’s traditional quadrangles are closely related to perception emotional experience citizens tourists due their near-human scale characteristics. However, current research focuses more on evaluation historical value early renovation specific design construction methods process renovation, few studies pay attention characteristics built environment that promote users after is completed. Under these circumstances, study attachment between people composition renovated Beijing quadrangles; avant garde small-scale quadrangle type, which wider coverage, types user, pays people’s space, was selected as object. Four typical cases were in-depth discussion. Based theory from multidisciplinary perspective, this constructed series scales can measure degree dimension environment, coupled local observation interviews, obtain multi-dimensional data reflecting attachment, used SPSS conduct correlation analysis exploratory factor quantitatively explore effects different attachment. The results show that: (1) material characteristics, organic integration modern materials, structures colors effectively enhance positive establishment combination three-dimensional further addition, consistency materials technologies, new, carrying capacity method history culture basis promoting kind needs be explored considered. (2) non-material diverse, variable, recognizable, unique, digital function settings respond changes need developments significantly environment. This emphasizes importance positioning space operation later stage. (3) support validity rationality measuring result, provides reference emotion-oriented means, logic quantitative future.
