Constructing an ecological security pattern (ESP) is effective measure to solve current regional problems, alleviate the contradiction between rapid urbanization and protection, provide important spatial path for management of ecosystems. This study integrated importance ecosystem services, sensitivity, landscape connectivity, resistance, constructed ESP in Huang-Huai-Hai Plain using analytical hierarchy process (AHP), minimum cumulative model (MCR), gravity model. A total 13 sources, 52 corridors (22 first-level corridors, 9 s-level 21 third-level corridors), 201 nodes were identified. The sources mainly distributed around Plain, showed a circular distribution, while at intersection several corridors. In addition, built-up land increased by 40% past 20 years, posing serious threat especially adjacent cities such as Beijing, Jinan, Qingdao, well crossing urban areas Tianjin, Zhengzhou. methodological system this can theoretical foundations support construction implementation protection other regions.

Published: Jan. 10, 2025

Context Tongguling National Nature Reserve in Hainan highlights the ecological significance of marine and coastal ecosystems. However, their sensitivities are often overlooked, emphasising need for improved evaluation methods to ensure sustainable management. Aims This study aims develop an advanced framework that accurately assesses landscape sensitivity regions, thereby supporting targeted conservation management strategies fragile Methods The employed fuzzy mathematics analytic hierarchy process (AHP) introduce a co-ordination method tailored environments, utilising comprehensive values degrees as key indicators. Key results When applied Hainan, effectively identified critical areas with heightened sensitivity, including zones vital maintaining water quality protecting habitats. indicated moderate high levels, highlighting where efforts should be prioritised mitigate negative effects. Conclusions model proposed this is robust, providing insights immediate long-term ecosystem Implications findings establish basis future decision-making within reserves, potentially guiding similar evaluations other regions.

The ecological security pattern plays a crucial role in maintaining ecosystem health and ensuring security. establishment of the Mudanjiang City can provide scientific basis effective support for stabilizing environment, mitigating regional human–land conflicts, rational land- use planning. This paper utilizes theory constructing an using source-resistance plane-corridor node to grade importance source areas based on connectivity index. It combines morphological spatial analysis PLUS model generate identify present value 2022 City, as well predict eight land types seven landscape under three development scenarios by 2032. A transfer matrix transfer-intensity map are introduced explore structural characteristics transfer, while four fragmentation indexes combined with principal component coefficient variation method form comprehensive different classes. Finally, 2022, is developed that establishes logical connections between land-use structure, types, transformation mechanism, sources. results follows: (1) In 23 areas, 65 corridors, 66 nodes were extracted. overall shows “U” shape openings northeast. (2) cumulative weight economic social factors resistance surface reached 51.36%. (3) response degree forest primary tertiary was highly significant, R values reaching 0.9675 −0.8746, respectively. comparative study comprehensively showed best scenario sustainable future priority scenario, where area smallest proportion but strongest disturbance fluctuation becomes key affecting City.
