Land degradation in communal rangelands poses significant challenges to environmental sustainability, agricultural productivity, and livelihoods southern Africa. This study presents a bibliometric analysis of research trends, key contributors, thematic evolution, collaborative networks the field land from 1997 2024. Utilizing data obtained Scopus database, we examined 66 publications identify patterns publication output, leading journals, influential articles, prominent authors institutions. Participation is an essential instrument for the expression of diverse knowledge and interests in urban planning.
